Video Poker Jackpot Atlantic City

There is never a bad time to hit a Royal Flush in poker, but the best time may be when there is a major jackpot in play.

One lucky video poker player at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City found that out this week as he binked a $100,000 jackpot during a game of Double Double Bonus Poker by making five paint cards of the same suit, according to a press release from the Northeast casino.

Six-Figure Jackpot in Atlantic City

Poker players like Will Kassouf have talked about the importance of having heart in poker, and that certainly applied this week in Atlantic City, given that the straight flush was of the heart variety.

The player from Wayne, New Jersey, who chose to remain anonymous, had been max-betting at $125 per spin when he hit his jackpot, meaning he won 800 times his bet.

The recent jackpot comes at an interesting time for Atlantic City, which has long been the Northeast gambling mecca. But that could all change now that New York is expanding its casino offerings.

Other Royal Flushes & Jackpots

There have been plenty of big poker jackpots hitting as of late. In March, three separate six-figure bad beat jackpots hit in poker rooms across North America, including a $924,780 Omaha bad beat jackpot at Playground Poker Club in Canada.

In a Florida cash game at bestbet Jacksonville, a $188,383 bad beat jackpot hit in a quads versus straight flush cooler.

In poker tournaments, there are no jackpots for making Royal Flushes. Poker pro Jeremy Ausmus experienced this last year when he made a Royal Flush against quad aces during the PokerStars North American Poker Tour (NAPT) Main Event in Las Vegas.

A similar hand took place in the 2025 PSO Malaga Main Event, where a player ran aces full into the Royal Flush of Bobby Simons.
