online poker

This week’s online poker Full Tilt $1K Monday drew a field of 324 runners, with first place set at $81,000. Those missing out on the final table included Travis “TravestyFund” Rice in 13th ($3,240), Norin22 in 17th ($2,430) and Scott “cool0813” Zakheim in 18th ($2,430). When all was said and done, Darryll “DFish” Fish drowned all the competition, overcoming a more than 3-to-1 chip deficit at the start of the final table to earn the title and the five-figure prize money. As the final table began, the chip counts were as follows:

David “Bussa Buss” Baker – 584,321

losebigpots – 208,608

Darryll “DFish” Fish – 164,307

Ronald “ronaldgrauer” Grauer – 128.396

xerok420 – 118,188

Bryan “Squirrely1” Sapp – 116,367

Steve “StevoL_7” Leonard – 110,503

holdi12 – 100,047

Grayson “The_Dean221” Nichols – 89,223

David “Bussa Buss” Baker entered the final table with the chip lead and he got to work quickly. At the 3,000/6,000/750 level, xerok420 went all in on the button for 54,938 holding 108 and Baker isolated from the small blind with QJ. No help for xerok420 as the board ran out 5426K and Baker’s queen high was the best hand. For his ninth-place finish xerok420 earned $6,480. Baker’s rush continued at the next level when he eliminated Bryan “Squirrely1” Sapp. Down to his last 83,770, Sapp shoved from the small blind with 88 and Baker called out of the big blind with Q10. Baker won the coinflip as the board rolled out K3Q7K and Sapp was out in eighth place for $8,100.

Steve “StevoL_7” Leonard busted later in the same level after shoving from the small blind for 110,503. Losebigpots looked him up from the big blind with A4 and held a slight lead over Leonard’s 107. He kept that lead as the board came 7A85Q and Leonard’s tournament was over in seventh place for $10,530. Ronald “ronaldgrauer” Grauer hit the rail next, at the 5,000/10,000/1,000 level. He made it 23,646 to go from under the gun and losebigpots was the lone caller on the button. The flop came 3210 as Grauer fired a continuation bet of 35,000, but losebigpots reraised to 180,000. Grauer called all in for 65,000 with A10 and saw losebigpots table a leading KK. The turn and river came 5 and J as Grauer was out in sixth place for $16,200.

Holdi12 went out next at 6,000/12,000/1,500. Darryll “DFish” Fish went all in for 133,057 on the button holding A6 and holdi12 called all in for 40,849 with 109. Holdi12’s suited connectors could find no help as the board ran out 74Q53 giving Fish a straight, and holdi12 bid adieu in fifth place for $22,680. Grayson “The_Dean221” Nichols was felted a few hands later. All in for 168,721 with A10, he looked to be in good shape for a double-up against David “Bussa Buss” Baker’s KJ. But the community cards came K47Q5, pairing Baker's king, and Nichols was out in fourth place for $29,970.

David “Bussa Buss” Baker was eliminated not long afterward, at the 8,000/16,000/2,000 level. He raised to 38,000 on the button only to find Darryll “DFish” Fish reraising all in for 483,237. Baker called and tabled 1010, crushing Fish’s 55. However, the board ran out Q957J as Fish hit his set to leave Baker with less than a big blind. Baker managed to double up twice before finally bowing out in third place for $33,880. Fish began heads-up play with the chip lead and he took it down on the first hand. A series of preflop raises led to losebigpots putting his tournament life on the line with 88 against Fish’s 1010. The board rolled out 99252 and it was all over. Finishing in second place was losebigpots for $51,840. Darryll “DFish” Fish is the winner of the Full Tilt $1K Monday was for a payday of $81,000.
