Jeremiah “Believer8219” Vinsant turned in an impressive repeat performance yesterday, winning the Full Tilt $1K Monday for the second time in as many months. Having taken down this same tournament on April 6th, Vinsant came to the final table as one of the shorter stacks, but in the end he made everyone a believer as he battled back to take the title yet again, collecting $78,500 for the win.

This week’s Full Tilt $1K Monday attracted 314 entrants. Among the best finishes that didn’t quite reach the final table were Carter “ckingusc” King in 10th ($3,925), Chris “Panamatony” Barrile in 12th ($3,925), Jonathan “BlackJackLeak” Paul in 13th ($3,140), Jason “NovaSky” Koon in 16th ($2,355), and Chad “jse81” Batista in 18th ($2,355).

Liina “Liina Love” Vark’s final-table appearance was brief, busting at 1,700/3,400/400. She pushed all in with {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs} against Tom “titantom32” Braband’s {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}. She out-flopped him when the flop arrived {7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{J-Spades} and remained in front on the {10-Diamonds} turn, but the river did her in as it fell the {9-Clubs}. She left with $6,280 for ninth place. The chip counts after her elimination were the following:

fill aivi – 340,472
lore8928 – 338,381
Tom “titantom32” Braband – 294,454
jcgoheels – 187,647
Jeremiah “Believer8219” Vinsant – 168,006
A6540 – 105,830
moosetund – 71,476
shmuliik – 63,734

Moosetund’s tournament ended shortly after he lost a coinflip with {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} to shmuliik’s {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}. A third ten hit the flop and moosetund was left with just two big blinds. On the next hand moosetund picked up {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and seemed primed to double up against A6540’s {K-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. However, A6540 spiked a king on the river as the board fell {2-Spades}{7-Spades}{8-Spades}{9-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}, and moosetund was out in eighth place for $7,850.

But A6540 wouldn’t hang on to his newfound chips for long. On the button, A6540 made it 8,500 to go. Tom “titantom32” Braband reraised to 25,750 from the big blind and A6540 responded with a shove for 106,872. Braband called with {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}, well ahead of A6540’s {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. A6540 caught up momentarily when the flop rolled out {8-Spades}{K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. But the {J-Hearts} on the turn put Braband back in front and he stayed there through the {K-Diamonds} river. A6540 pocketed $10,205 for seventh place.

Jcgoheels bit the dust at the 3,000/6,000/750 level. The action began with lore8928 raising to 15,650 under the gun. Shmuliik called on the button, but jcgoheels went all in for 57,307 out of the small blind. Lore8928 passed and shmuliik called with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}, racing against jcgoheels’s {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}. The board came {Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} as jcgoheels was eliminated in sixth place for $15,700. Shmuliik’s taste of victory was brief, however, as he was the next to depart. After losing a critical hand with {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} to Jeremiah “Believer8219” Vinsant’s {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}, shmuliik pushed all in with {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and found himself up against Vinsant’s {K-Clubs}{9-Spades}. A nine hit the flop and it was enough to send shmuliik to the rail in fifth place for $21,980.

Vinsant’s heater continued during the 4,000/8,000/1,000 level. On the button, fill aivi raised to 20,000. Vinsant popped it to 71,999 from the big blind and fill aivi was a non-believer, shoving for 208,259. A call from Vinsant revealed {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, leading fill aivi’s {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. The community cards came {6-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{K-Spades}{2-Clubs}{Q-Spades} as fill aivi went busto in fourth place for $29,045. During the 6,000/12,000/1,500 level, lore8928 bowed out. Down to just 139,193, lore8928 went all in with {Q-Spades}{J-Spades} and Tom “titantom32” Braband isolated with {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}. Lore8928 couldn’t catch up as the board rolled out {5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and he was out in third place for $37,680.

Heads-up play began nearly even in chips, but ended with Jeremiah “Believer8219” Vinsant holding them all. On the final hand at 8,000/16,000/2,000, Vinsant raised to 38,888 and Braband flat-called. The flop came {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Braband led out for 42,000. Vinsant popped it up to 100,000 and Braband countered with a raise all in for 485,110. Jeremiah Vinsant called and tabled {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for a set, well in front of Braband’s open-end straight draw with {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Braband got no help from the {2-Diamonds} turn, and the {K-Clubs} added insult to injury as Vinsant’s hand filled up and the tournament came to a close. Tom “titantom32” Braband took second place for $50,240. Jeremiah “Believer8219” Vinsant was the winner of the Full Tilt $1K Monday – again – this time good for $78,500.
