In Case You Missed It

We like making you a little more well-rounded. That's why we research what's going on outside the poker world and bring you some interesting news every now and again. Can gamblers stop the extinction of endangered species? Find out in this edition of Inside Gaming.

Sometimes, poker tips can be found in the most unlikely places. Like movies for example. Good thing you have us watching movies and bringing you these little nuggets. From the Big Screen to the Final Table gives you a little insight on how the movie Spy Game can improve your game.

The "Isildur1" saga is getting a little out of hand. One day he's up, the next he's down, then he's back up again, and before you know it — well, you get the picture. The Online Railbird Report has the deets from Isildur1's latest online session and we won't tell you who it was, but someone may have the largest single-session win in online poker history under his belt.

If you're headed down to the Bahamas for the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and playing with poker's top pros isn't enough, then maybe playing with celebrities and athletes will do the trick. Oh yea, you'll be helping out a good cause too. You can Help Raise Money for AIDS Research During the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, so why wouldn't you?

Team Pro Tuesdays

Every Tuesday in December, PokerStars Team Pros will host two events. Outlast the Pros tournaments will begin at 13:00 and 20:00 (PokerStars time) and will each have a buy-in of $11. PokerStars is also adding $1,000 to the prize pool and everyone who outlasts all the Team Pros in the tournament will split the extra cash.

"That makes for some interesting side rooting! If you are one of the big stacks, you are obviously hoping that the Pros stay alive as long as possible so that you get a bigger piece of the pie. If you are a short stack, then you want to see the Pros go broke!" said Team Pro Daniel Negreanu.

Montel Sued

Talk show host turned poker player Montel Williams is being sued for breach of contract for his International Team Poker League. The suit was filed by attorneys from Guardian Gaming Ltd.

Guardian Gaming claims that it was to have a 25 percent stake in the league in exchange for a $300,000 up-front investment. Williams and the league though, found another company to complete the tasks and broke their contract with Guardian on Sept. 18, 2008. The suit claims that Guardian's initial investment has also not been refunded.

The suit is claiming breach of contract, intentional misrepresentation, fraud, unjust enrichment, and conversion. Guardian is seeking reimbursement of the investment, punitive damages, prejudgment interest, and legal fees. has more.

Christmas Wrapping

Looks like Jeff Madsen is bringing us a little Christmas gift early. He has posted his most recent rap on PokerRoad and although it has nothing to do with Christmas, we couldn't resist the pun. He lets us in on a some poker strategy in this rap and has a little bit to say about most of the November Niners. Looks like Madsen took some camera angle tips from Phil Hellmuth for the filming of this rap.

Be sure you're following us on Twitter. It's the best way to get up-to-the-minute news and we know you like news, you are reading this after all.

Oh, Tiger

OK, before we get into some numbers, Doyle Brunson loves to make us laugh with his daily jokes on his Twitter (@texdolly) account. He doesn't discriminate and Tiger Woods is no exception. One of his latest goes a little something like this: "Ping just made Elin an endorsement contract for a set of drivers, to be named Elin Woods.."Clubs you can beat Tiger with." OK, that's enough of that.

Paddy Power is taking bets on a few things in the Tiger saga. First, who will be the next 911 call to come out of the Tiger house, this coming after Elin's mother was rushed to the hospital recently. The second and probably the one most people are speculating about is which sponsor will publicly cut ties with the golfer. Gatorade has already dropped the Tiger Woods sports drink line in a decision it says was made months ago and has nothing to do with Tiger's personal life. Right, we totally believe you Gatorade.

Want to place your bets? Head over to Paddy Power now.

She's a Hustler

We don't really venture too much outside PokerNews HQ and we're not too into slurpees, which is why the guys on TwoPlusTwo saw this before us.

TwoPlusTwoer "seaox" was probably in line at his local 7-Eleven paying for a Big Gulp and some Skittles, and his eyes happened to glance over to the magazine rack and there he saw Vanessa Rousso's name on the cover of Hustler.

He obviously didn't buy it because he said nothing more about it in the post, but leave it to the TwoPlusTwo community to uncover the story. Seems to us, it's just an interview and it has yet to be posted on the seven-page thread discussing the issue.

Check out the thread here.
