2014 World Poker Tour Fallsview Poker Classic Day 2: Jason James Leads Final Ten
The World Poker Tour Fallsview Poker Classic Main Event began with 383 players earlier this weekend, but after 10 levels of play on Sunday's Day 2 the returning 114 players were whittled down to the final 10. Leading the way is Jason James with 2.606 million, which is over a million more than his next closest competitor.

According to the WPT Live Blog, action recommenced in Level 14 (1,200/2,400/400), and over the next five hours a steady stream of players hit the rail including Pirooz Bayat, Danny Nguyen, Frank Parisi, Elliot Smith, Danny Noseworthy, and Matt Marafioti.
Marafioti fell in Level 19 (4,000/80,000) when he was all in preflop holding the 9♠9♣ and up against the Q♣Q♦ of Richard Hutchings. It was a bad spot for Marafioti, and he received no reprieve as the board ran out a dry 8♥J♠3♥3♠8♣. Marafioti fell in 48th place, which meant just two more players needed to fall before the money.
The bubble didn't burst until Level 20 (5,000/10,000/1,000) when a short-stacked Jan Vanderzwaag got all in preflop from early position and was called by Danny Freitas in the small blind.

Vanderzwaag got it in good, but a dagger was pushed through his heart when the Q♦4♠2♥ flop delivered Freitas a pair of queens. The Q♥ turn improved Freitas to trips, which meant the A♣ river was no good for Vanderzwaag, who earned the title of bubble boy.
From there the in-the-money eliminations came fast and furious. They included Anh Van Nguyen (44th - $8,716), Mike Linster (39th - $8,716), Curt Kohlberg (37th - $8,716), Mike Leah (35th - $10,117), Mark Radoja (32nd - $10,117), Steve Tripp (24th - $13,075), Peter Jetten (17th - $16,655), Mike Watson (12th - $23,815), and Shawn Cunix (11th - $23,815).
Watson, a member of the WPT Champions Club, fell in Level 23 (10,000/20,000/3,000) when he raised from the button only to have Josue Sauvageau three-bet from the small blind. The big blind folded, Watson moved all in, and Sauvageau snap-called.

Watson picked the wrong time to shove as his ten kicker put him in dire straits. The J♦K♦6♥ flop paired Sauvageau, but it also gave Watson a Broadway draw. The A♠ turn didn’t change much, and the 3♦ river officially sent Watson out the door in 12th place. A few minutes later, Cunix, the last of the WPT Champions Club, joined him on the rail and the final 10 were set.
