It's been another big week for New Jersey's online poker players. The Garden State Super Series (GSSS) II on partypoker NJ and BorgataPoker.com is now in the books after several big events, including the three main events, wrapped up over the weekend.
As a results of WSOP.com NJ and 888poker NJ combining forces to share liquidity in select tournaments, the $25,000 GTD Weekly Sunday has become the $40,000 GTD Weekly Sunday, just one week after it was increased to a $35,000 guarantee.
The biggest online poker tournament in New Jersey over the past weekend was the GSSS #22 Mid - $150,000 GTD NLH Main Event. With 755 entrants, this $200 buy-in tournament did not quite reach its $150,000 guarantee, leaving some overlay for the players to feast on.
At the final table, six players chopped this tournament with Scott "TooDue4U" Blumstein coming out on top for $20,805, and second place finisher "Dabullz" and third place finisher "Thatgood45" each taking home $17,250.
While the GSSS #22 Mid - $150,000 GTD NLH Main Event was the biggest online tournament in New Jersey over the weekend, the biggest prize was awarded to "DonDraper" who beat out a field of 113 players in the GSSS #22 High - $75,000 GTD NLH Main Event for $23,510. "HodorHodorHodor" finished runner-up in this $1,000 buy-in tournament for $15,995, followed by "JANANGHALIB" taking third place for $12,345.
The new $40,000 GTD Weekly Sunday shattered its new increased guaranteed prize pool with 230 players ponying up the $200 entry fee and awarding a combined $42,550 to those who cashed.
After the final cards were dealt, "DcircaC07" padded his online bankroll with $11,276 for the win. "Jakep474" was awarded $6,595 for finishing in second place
