Mike "Tîmex" McDonald entered Day 2 of the event as the chip leader, after almost opting to skip the event entirely, and he finished in fifth place for $172,500.

The other two in-the-money finishers were Russia's "Nopaleva" in fourth place for $230,000, and Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz in sixth place for $126,500.

With eight players returning and only six cashing, that meant two had to go home empty handed. Those two were the United Kingdom's "cuffme," who busted eighth, and David "dpeters17" Peters, who finished in seventh place and earned the unwanted title of the event's official "bubble boy."

The event attracted 46 entries and generated a prize pool of $2.3 million. A handful of notables eliminated on Day 1 were Nick "caecilius" Petrangelo, Daniel "mrGR33N13" Colman, Thomas "WushuTM" Muehloecker, Jason "JasonMercier" Mercier, Daniel "KidPoker" Negreanu, Dzmitry "Colisea" Urbanovich, and Doug "WCGRider" Polk.
