Sunday Briefing: Marc Ladouceur Wins the Super-Sized Sunday

Canada’s Marc “FrenchDawg” Ladouceur enjoyed a profitable Sunday this week thanks to taking down the $700 Super-Sized Sunday at PokerStars. Ladouceur came out on top of a field of 644 players in the progressive bounty tournament, netting $37,170.35 in prize money and an additional $23,142.95 in bounty payments.

Although impressive, Ladouceur’s haul was not the largest of the weekend, that honor went to Austria’s “WestCliff21” who triumphed in the Sunday Million, outlasting 4,914 opponents to get his hands on a massive $144,335.70 score.

Some of the other notable cashes from the PokerStars tournaments on Dec. 11 included:

  • Carlos “Carloss86” Saguier - winner of the $215 Weekender for $8,777.26
  • “Lazarrev” - winner of the Big $109 for $23,752.26
  • “cardinals970” - winner of the Hot $162 for $11,015.82
  • Noah “dirty.brasil” Vaillancourt - winner of the $109 Bounty Builder for $15,350.65
  • Dumitrascu “renalikes” Renaldo - winner of the $109 Bubble Rush for $9,312
  • Faraz “The-Toilet 0” Jaka - winner of the Hot $109 for $17,686.82
  • Seth “Setherson2” Davies - winner of the $1,050 Sunday Grand NLHE for $48,071.86

The tournaments at partypoker produced some big winners again this weekend, one of them being Marc “railthe23price” Wright who secured the $7,848.83 first-place prize of the $40,000 Gtd Drago only a couple of weeks after taking down the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Grand Final in the live arena.

A larger prize, one worth $10,653.21, was enjoyed by “stultotoa10” who emerged victorious in the $50,000 Gtd Weigh-In tournament, while Pablo Brito “Britz1” Silva took down the $150,000 Gtd Main Event, turning $109 into $24,150.15.

In the $200,000 Gtd High Roller, “Afghaneren” walked away with the $39,000 top prize with Simon “HellmuthTheGr8” Mattsson banking $42,550 by winning the $100,000 Gtd Super High Roller, partypoker’s $2,600 buy in event.

Lastly for the partypoker results is the impressive $41,971.50 score that Ewald Mahr “NOT_AGGRO” Olivera walked away with when he won the $250,000 Gtd Title Fight tournament.

Over at 888poker, Sweden’s “Madeon1994” walked away with the $26,112.60 first-place prize of the $100,000 Whale, a similar cash to the $21,068.72 won by Lukas “suk12cz” Soucek in the $100,000 Mega Deep.

A field of 375 turned out for the $160 buy in $50,000 Sunday Crocodile this week and the last player standing was “thegrindler” who banked a cool $10,794.37. Germany’s “iCrushu556” turned $90 into $15,298.87 by winning the $70,000 Sunday Challenge.
