Timothy Adams Wins 4th Career Trophy in Prague €50k Super High Roller

After 3 days of heavy battle, Timothy Adams has emerged victorious in the prestigious €50,000 Super High Roller at the PokerStars Championship Prague.

When registration closed at the start of the second day, 34 entries were made into the event, making for a prize pool of €1,632,510. €555,000 of that was reserved for the winner, which was crowned on the final day of play where just 3 players returned for action.

Already well in the money, Timothy Adams brought the majority of the chips in play to the final day of the event, and it didn't take him long to rake in the rest as well.

"After three days of play, the concentration wasn't at the top."

It wasn't just smooth sailing for him, as he doubled Belarussian high stakes player Mikita Badziakouski right off the bat. In one of the first hands of play, Adams got it in with king-queen against the ace-five of Badziakouski, and neither player hit to see the latter double.

As Badziakouski doubled once more (this time hitting a ten with ace-ten against the fives of Adams) and Adrian Mateos saw a small bluff fail, the latter was all of the sudden the short stack of the trio. Down to 11 big blinds, the Spanish poker superstar shoved with ace-eight. Adams called with queen-jack and hit a jack on the flop to send Mateos home in 3rd place for €244,900.

Badziakouski's stack took a big hit in a hand he bet all 3 streets with pocket aces, only to see Adams call with rivered trips. Not much later, it was all over as Adams pushed with six-seven suited and Badziakouski called with jack-ten suited. Adams hit a pair and flush draw on the flop, and while Badziakouski picked up a flush draw of his own on the turn, the river made for trips on the board giving Adams the winning full house.

"I'm really happy. I know most of the players registered in this tournament, I meet them every day online or live, so it was funny but at the same time challenging," Adams shared right after lifting the trophy.

"The three-way play was tough, I had to beat two of the best players in the world."

"The three-way play was tough, I had to beat two of the best players in the world. And after three days of play, the concentration wasn't at the top. I could make some errors, but I'm happy with how I played and even more with the result," Adams said about the last day of play.

This win marks the 4th time in Timothy Adams' poker career he's lifting a trophy, and the 19th time he's had a $100,000+score behind his name. Adams has now cashed for $3,686,373 in 2017, contributing heavily to the $7,806,518 he has in total live earnings.
