The 888poker LIVE Festival Heads to Bucharest on Feb. 28 to March 5

  • The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be on hand to cover the €288,000 guaranteed Main Event.

The 888poker LIVE festival will soon head to the majestic Romanian capital of Bucharest for 14 action-packed tournaments across six-days on Feb. 28 to March 5.

The festival kicks off at the JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel with the 888poker LIVE Bucharest €230 Opening Event, featuring a €50,000 guaranteed prize pool. Players have plenty of chances to build a big stack with two-opening flights on Feb. 28 and March 1, which both allow for two re-entries during the (late) registration period.

Players bagging chips will converge for one more day on March 2 and play until a winner is crowned.

The highlight of the poker festival is the 888poker LIVE Bucharest €888 Main Event, which the PokerNews Live Reporting team will cover from the beginning until the end. The first two opening flights on March 2 and 3 feature 30-minute blind levels while the final turbo flight on March 3 features 15-minute blind levels. Players begin all of the flights with 30,000, and each one allows for unlimited re-entries while late-registration is open.

Surviving players will battle it out for the at least €288,000 guaranteed prize pool with a deeper structure. Day 2 on March 4 features 45-minute blind levels, and the final day on March 5 features even longer 60-minute blind levels.

The winner of the Main Event will not only take home the lion share of the prize pool, he or she will also bank a package for the Crazy 8's tournament at the 2018 WSOP.

Players can qualify for the Main Event at 888poker and also live at the casino with a handful of satellites priced at €115.

In addition to these two exciting events, there are plenty of others on the schedule to wet any poker player's appetite. One of them is the Ladies Event. Buying in for the Ladies Event costs you €60, and the winner of the event will win an 888poker LIVE package for the Barcelona stop of the tour in addition to the prize pool.

On top of all that, 888poker raffles off an iPhone X amongst the players in the Main Event. That all makes for some great added value for players attending the 888poker LIVE Festival Bucharest.

Also, no-limit hold'em and pot-limit Omaha cash games will be running around the clock with stakes ranging from €1/€2 all the way up to €10/€20.
