On the eighth day of the 888poker XL Blizzard Series, three new tournaments started, and once again three players were crowned as winners. Most money was up for grabs in the $50,000 PKO 8-Max where the winner took home over $12,000.

At 20:00 GMT, the XL Blizzard #23 - $50,000 PKO 8-Max kicked off. After late registration closed, there were 393 registered players resulting in a total prize pool of $58,950 and no overlay, with $5,748 reserved for the winner excluding the bounties. More than eight hours were played before they crowned a champion.

Eight players made the final table, securing themselves of $737. "EvnomiYa" (eighth, $737+$113 "toastmanQ" (seventh, $884+$783), "Toteubha" (sixhth, $1,179+$817), "DePittsterje" (fifth, $1,621+$66) were eliminated in quick succession. After that, "CoinShipper" (fourth, $2,358+$989) and "HiroNakamura" (third, $3,242+$1,337) missed out on the final heads-up.

Ukrainian "normannolly" battled heads up against Belarus' "HATE007" and in the end, the former took down the XL Blizzard title. The runner-up received $4,274 and an extra $1,366 in KO's while the winner won $5,748 and an extra KO worth $6,774.

For the players who didn't have the bankroll to play the $160 event, or wanted to multi-table, there was also a Mini edition with a buy-in of just $22. In total, 1,339 players competed in this event which made for a $26,780 prize pool with the first prize just over $2,468.

In the end, "sry_man" (fourth, $1,004+$170) and "ProPriced" (third, $1,339+$436) were eliminated from the final table, both receiving a four-figure score including their KO. The final two players secured themselves of $1,741, but there was still a lot of money on the line. Russia's "Specter.V." finished the deal and won the tournament for $2,468 plus $1,662 for a total first prize of $4,130. Runner-up "Anys9ra" finished in second place for $1,741 plus $407 for a total prize of $2,148.
