Next Super High Roller Bowl to be Played June 1 on partypoker

Super High Roller Bowl is moving online.

Popular nosebleed-stakes poker tournament the Super High Roller Bowl will have its next edition play out online, the latest in a series of partypoker-affiliated events to migrate to the worldwide platform.

Additionally, Super High Roller Bowl Online will not be a stand-alone event as many have been in the past. Rather, it will be part of a series of high-stakes tournaments starting May 23 and culminating with the $100,000 Main Event June 1-2.

It will follow on the heels of the Poker Masters Online, another Poker Central staple moved to the virtual felt, that just wrapped up days ago on partypoker.

“After a successful Poker Masters Online tournament, we knew we had to continue the momentum with an online Super High Roller Bowl series in lieu of a live tournament this year,” said Poker Central's J.R. McCabe in a presser. “Our partnership with partypoker will allow us to continue to deliver what our fans love – live poker from the best players in the world.”

A total of $20 million will be guaranteed across the 28 events, which includes the Super High Roller Bowl that closes out the series.

While past Super High Roller Bowls usually carried buy-ins of $250,000 to $500,000, the online edition makes it slightly more affordable at $100,000. The $3 million guarantee in that one figures to be the largest offered.

While the full schedule has yet to be released, PokerNews has been told partypoker tentatively plans to hold three events per day, one $25K and two $10Ks, with the former guaranteeing $1 million and the latter two $500,000.

Held since 2015, the Super High Roller Bowl has awarded a slew of seven-figure prizes to its winners. Here's a look at the history of the event:
