How is Daniel Negreanu Performing in His Second Tournament of 2026?

The biggest buy-in mixed games tournament of the year kicked off today inside the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas with the $100,000 Super High Roller Bowl Mixed Games, an event that drew the world's best mixed game players for intense Stud, Omaha and triple draw action.
The $100,000 buy-in mixed games event had 33 entrants on Day 1, an increase from the 29 runners who played the inaugural event last March.
This year's field big names like Daniel Negreanu, in his second tournament appearance of the year after finishing fourth in the PGT Championship for $80,000, as well as six-time bracelet winner Jason Mercier, rising star Jesse Lonis, seven-time bracelet winner Scott Seiver, reigning event and tour champion Chad Eveslage, and Chino Rheem, one of the hottest players of the new year.
Leading 23 players at the end of Day 1 is Brazilian pro Yuri Dzivielevski ahead of big stacks like eight-time bracelet winner and mixed game end boss Benny Glaser and high-stakes pro Chris Brewer.
Poker Hall of Famer Brian Rast, who is fresh off a victory in the PGT Mixed Games $25K Championship, also bagged a top-ten stack.

Glaser Dominates on Day 1
Glaser, who won three WSOP bracelets last summer in mixed games events, stole the show on Day 1. The British pro sent all-time money leader Bryn Kenney out in the first elimination of the day and built up a massive chip lead at a feature table that included Negreanu and Seiver.
"A very great start," said commentator Chris Vitch. "He's been having a bit of a rough series in all the preliminary events with zero cashes, and certainly is hoping to have a bit of a series saver with a deep run in this $100k."
Dzivielevski and Brewer, meanwhile, quietly built up stacks away from the feature table.
Glaser, Negreanu and Dzivielevski respectively finished fifth, fourth and third in this event last year, while recent PGT Championship winner Eveslage won the trophy and $1.2 million.
There were some interesting conversations on the feature table, including Negreanu telling the story of when he got cheated the first time he played Five-Card Draw.
"One of the first games I learned how to play, like when I was young, but for actual money," Negreanu told the table. "And I played with these Italians who were cheating. But I knew and didn't really care that much. Because they were bad."
Negreanu, who bagged a stack of 240,000, also announced that all-time bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth will join the field on Day 2, while commentators speculated that Phil Ivey could join the event.
The games in rotation in the event include No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw, 2-7 Triple Draw, Omaha Hi-Lo, Stud, Stud Hi-Lo, Badugi, and Pot-Limit Omaha.
Some of the players who were eliminated during Day 1 include Walter Chambers, Hal Rotholz and Johannes Becker.
Streamed coverage of Day 2, which is available on YouTube and PokerGO, will begin at 5 p.m. local time on Friday. Action kicks off in the PokerGO Studio at 1 p.m., at which point late registration will close.
