partypoker Launches $2M Defection Party Promotion

partypoker has ramped up it quest to attract new players by launching the Defection Party promotion that has $2 million worth of cash and prizes to be won over the next month.

Defection Party runs from May 7 through June 4 and sees partypoker launch a four-pronged attack on customer acquisition. This promotion runs alongside the new Refer-A-Friend program that is paying double commission for the first four weeks.

The first part of the Defection party promotion sees all partypoker players win a prize every day just for logging into their accounts. Prizes come in the form of a ticket to a $500 guaranteed Hyper-Turbo freeroll or a bonus.

Boosted Cashback Days

Players also have the chance to earn 20% more cashback than usual on selected days. May 7 is one of those days, the start of the promotion, with June 4 being another, the final day of Defection Party. partypoker plans several more boosted cashback days throughout the promotion, advertising them via its social media channels and in the partypoker client.

Complete Daily Challenges For MTT Entries

Another section of the promotion revolves around daily challenges. Players need to opt into these via their partypoker accounts then complete the challenge set for that day. These challenges are randomly generated and include tasks including playing a set amount of hands per day, or being dealt specific holdings at the tables.

Completing challenges awards an entry to a daily $5,000 guaranteed Hyper-Turbo tournament, which runs at 8:00 p.m. CEST. The only way into this tournament is via the ticket awarded for completing a daily challenge.

$1.3 Million Worth of Leaderboards

Lastly, the Cash Game, Sit & Go, and SPINS Leaderboards continue with there massive combined prize pools, $1.3 million worth during Defection Party.

Cash Game Leaderboards have $1 million spread across 16 different No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha leaderboards. These have a top prize of a cool $10,000.

SNG players have $7,250 to fight over each day, with SPINS grinders sharing $12,500 over five leaderboards each and ever day.
