Koray Aldemir, Survivor's Boston Rob Among RunGood All-Stars ProAM 64-Player Field

Boston Rob Mariano

PokerNews will be on-hand live reporting the RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) All-Stars ProAM this weekend December 11-12, and we couldn't be more excited because the 64-player tournament features some entertaining players such as "Boston" Rob Mariano, Jamie Kerstetter, Veronica Brill, Joe Stapleton, Brad Owen, and the reigning world champion Koray Aldemir.

The $550 buy-in tournament is only open to invited players and those who earn their way into the PokerGO live-streamed event. If you'll be in Las Vegas this week, you can scoop up one of the final spots at the Aria Resort and Casino.

Aria is hosting a $240 buy-in no-limit hold'em tournament at 1 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. The top two finishers each day will receive an entry into the RunGood All-Stars ProAM. Those who won RGPS events earlier in the year also earned a free buy-in for the special tournament.

Catch the Champ in Action

It's been less than a month since Aldemir took down the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event for $8 million. The German sensation teased an appearance on the upcoming High Stakes Poker season on Twitter, but that won't air for a couple of months. Poker fans will have an opportunity to watch the world champ in action for the first time since the Main Event this weekend.

Aldemir isn't the only big name poker player who will take a stab at the RGPS All-Stars ProAM. On top of the names already mentioned, the competitors will include political polling guru Nate Silver of FiveThirtyEight fame, PokerGO reporter Jeff Platt, poker pro and PokerGO commentator Maria Ho, Poker King Media's Thomas Keeling (aka "SrslySirius"), and many others.

The action begins at noon PT from the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas on December 11 and will be live streamed on PokerGO throughout the tournament. Day 2, the final session, kicks off at the same time on December 12.

PokerNews will live report the tournament in its entirety, along with providing detailed recaps of the event.
