The 2024 WPT Prime Amsterdam Festival Is Less Than Three Weeks Away
Table Of Contents
There is a ton of excitement surrounding the upcoming WPT Voyage, and rightly so, but before players from far and wide board the luxury cruise ship and head to the Cayman Islands, and The Bahamas, WPT Prime Amsterdam takes place from March 15.
The Holland Casino in Amsterdam City Centre will be full to bursting as thousands of poker players descend on the venue to play in the WPT Prime Amsterdam festival's events.
A €565 No-Limit Hold'em Opener event raises the curtain on WPT Prime Amsterdam from 12:30 p.m. on March 15. This event serves as the perfect warm-up for what lies in store for WPT Prime Amsterdam players. Last year, 392 players created a €184,244 prize pool, and Nelson Clark reeled in the largest slice of that pie, namely €35,117. It was Clark's first recorded live result; what a way to get off the mark.
WPT Prime Amsterdam runs from March 15 through March 23, and its schedule is strikingly similar to the 2023 edition. Among the must-play events are the €1,100 WPT Prime Main Event, an €840 Bounty, a €2,200 High Roller, and a €1,100 Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Max affair.

Will Philip Hollederer Attempt to Defend His Main Event Title?
Germany's Philip Hollederer is the reigning WPT Prime Amsterdam Main Event champion, having outlasted 999 opponents in 2023 on his way to scooping a career-best prize worth €161,552. Hollederer has enjoyed five in-the-money finishes since his impressive victory, including a respectable 254th-place finish in the $10,400 WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas in December 2023; Hollederer won a $12,400 package to the Las Vegas event on top of his cash haul.
Last year, all eight players who reached the official final table walked away with at least €20,493 for their efforts, with the top two finishers seeing a six-figure prize land in their bank account.
The pay jumps were substantial, yet there wasn't a deal in sight, meaning Hollederer banked a cool €161,552, with Eli Fisz collecting €107,701 as a consolation prize.
