WPT Voyage

Curtis Miller is ready for the perfect getaway with his wife after the Illinois resident won a package on the upcoming WPT Voyage by playing on ClubWPT.

From March 31 to April 6, 2024, the World Poker Tour (WPT) is taking over an entire Virgin Voyages cruise ship for a six-day poker festival that features $1.5 million in guarantees, including a $5,000 buy-in and $1,000,000 guaranteed WPT Main Event.

PokerNews caught up with Miller to learn about his poker background and how he prepared for the WPT Voyage.

PokerNews: How did you win your WPT Voyage trip?

Miller: I won playing online.

When and how did you learn to play poker?

Been playing with family, friends and coworkers for 40-plus years. As far as learning, it's something I'm still doing hosting home games and playing wherever I get time and chance.

How long have you been a member of ClubWPT and what inspired you to join in the first place?

Been a member off and on for several years. Prefer to play live games but WPT gives me the opportunity to play at home.

Have you had any other success with ClubWPT? If so, when and where?

Just small pots this is first big win on WPT.

Have you ever been on a cruise or poker cruise?

Yes, I have been on several cruises and won Main Poker Tournament on Carnival which then Qualified me for Carnival Poker Cruise for all cruise winners. I think I placed 26th just out of the money.

WPT Voyage

What’s your proudest poker accomplishment to date?

The Cruise Tournament on Carnival probably my proudest. This (winning a WPT Voyage package) is definitely at the top so far; I use to play on some online sites that I won some $6,000 to $8,000 payouts and also won a local $10,000 payout tournament.

"Timing is perfect since our 40th wedding anniversary is coming up on Apr 21st."

What are you most looking forward to about the WPT Voyage?

Really just the opportunity for me and wife to get away. Timing is perfect since our 40th wedding anniversary is coming up on Apr 21st.

Are there poker pros you would like to meet or play with? If so, why would you like to meet them?

Mike Sexton is my favorite Host but will be a pleasure to meet and or play with any of the pros.
