Palace Poker, a brand-new poker room in Grand Prairie, Texas, has officially opened its doors following a VIP Showcase Weekend held August 8–10 and a Grand Opening on Monday, August 11. From the start, it’s clear this room was built to shake things up in the Texas poker scene.
Spread across more than eight acres, with over 550 parking spots and a two-story layout designed with both comfort and class in mind, Palace Poker aims to redefine the game and establish itself as the most luxurious poker room in Texas.
Bringing Luxury Poker to Texas
On the first floor of the new card room, guests will find member services, a full kitchen, a retail lounge, and an outdoor patio area. Upstairs is where the cards will be flying, with 31 poker tables to start (with capacity for 40), including 20 dedicated for cash games, spaces for tournaments, and a livestreamed table, as well as an invite-only VIP room with its own private entrance and driveway.
Palace Poker President Jonathan Tooley said “Our team has put in a tremendous amount of work to bring this new concept to the Texas poker community,” and added “We’re thrilled to bring luxury poker to the DFW area and to Texas as a whole.”
The upstairs area also features a full bar and restaurant, with a menu curated by Executive Chef Randy Morgan. Livestreamed cash games and final tables are set to go live in September, along with daily and weekly tournaments.
Changing the Game
Poker Palace Vice President Brian Dragovich believes the new cardroom will change the game, saying “We’re excited to raise the bar in Texas with a poker facility unlike anything the state—or the country—has seen before. Every square foot has been designed with the player in mind, and we’re confident this will be a game-changer for the poker community.” He also added "We’ve poured passion and precision into every detail at Palace Poker to give players an environment where the game can truly shine.”
Before ending his statement, Dragovich made sure to make his intentions even more clear, saying "Our goal isn’t just to open a poker room—it’s to make a statement. We want players to walk in, look around, and realize something different is happening here. Palace Poker is here to shock the system—in the best possible way.”
Setting the Standard
Following a successful ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce, Palace Poker has officially opened its doors—marking the beginning of what the team hopes will become one of the premier poker experiences in the country. Director of Poker Operations Danielle McWilliams emphasized their mission to redefine expectations in Texas card rooms, stating, “We want Palace Poker to feel like a destination. Every detail has a purpose—from the tables to the lighting to the customer service—we’re setting a new standard for what poker should feel like in Texas.”
