Hellmuth Headed to New Hampshire for $100K “Beat the Champ” Tournament Weekend
This weekend, Phil Hellmuth, who is sponsored by BetRivers, will head to New Hampshire for the Lilac Club Casino’s $100K “Beat the Champ” Tournament Weekend. From Aug. 15–17, local players will have the rare chance to face off against the 17-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) gold bracelet winner and compete for an estimated $100,000 prize pool.

By bringing in someone of Hellmuth’s caliber, organizers hope to redefine the local gaming scene by creating unforgettable experiences for poker enthusiasts and local fans alike.

The weekend kicks off on Friday, August 15, with early tournament $1,200 buy-ins open from 9 a.m. into the early morning hour of 1 a.m. at the Poker Cage. That evening, guests can meet the world-renowned poker legend in person during a special meet and greet and book signing, from 7-8 p.m. on the casino floor near Lucky Oak Bar + Grill. The first 75 guests in line will receive a free signed copy of his memoir Poker Brat.
The centerpiece of the weekend is on Saturday, August 16, when the headline event takes over the Lilac Poker Room. “Beat the Champ” offers players a shot at a six-figure prize pool and the ultimate bragging rights. Any player who knocks out the champ will receive an extra $500 cash bonus. Registration for the $1,200 buy-in opens at 9 a.m., with late registration available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The tournament is set to begin at 10 a.m. and has 108 seats plus alternates.
The weekend wraps on Sunday, August 17, with a live cash game featuring Hellmuth from 1-3 p.m. Seats are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
