Phil Ivey

Sound the alarms, because poker legend Phil Ivey is back in the hunt for another monster score.

The 11-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner has reached the final six of the $102,000 Onyx SHRS NLH Invitational, which PokerNews is covering live from Cyprus, as part of the Onyx Super High Roller Series.

Ivey has already locked up his first cash since the 2025 WSOP, securing at least $520,000 from the 88-entry field. Standing in his way is Jesse Lonis, who holds a commanding chip lead as he continues to dominate the high roller scene.

Lonis is the clear favorite to capture the $2 million top prize from the $8,536,000 prize pool. But he’s not alone as Ivey, Rob Yong, Jamil Wakil, Matt Moss, and Maher Nouira are all be battling for the seven-figure payout.

And the best part? You can follow every hand on the livestream below.

Thirteen players returned for the final day, but Eric Wasserson and Morten Klein soon found themselves on the wrong side of the rail after the restart. High-stakes cash game player Albert Daher was straightened out by Rob Yong's pocket queens to set-up the final table bubble.

Mikita Badziakouski, who sits in fifth place on the Hendon Mobs's All-Time Money List, fell in tenth when he called for his tournament life with top pair on a nine-high flop against Ivey. The Poker Hall of Famer had a pair of queens in the hole and held out to secure his spot on the final table.

Lonis cracked kings with ace-deuce to make Markkos Ladev the first final table casualty. Yong notched another elimination, using Big Slick to see off Rahul Byrraju. Lonis held in a flip against the short-stacked Dejan Kaladjurdjevic to bring the tournament to it's final six players.
