PokerStars Open Heads to Maryland with $300K Main Event

Fresh off unveiling the first half of its 2026 European live events calendar, plus confirming the return of the popular MicroMillions online series, PokerStars is giving its US fans more to look forward to this fall with a brand-new live stop in Maryland.
PokerStars Open Maryland runs October 19–26 at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland, marking the first time the series has hit the state.
The eight-day festival serves up a full slate of tournaments, headlined by the $1,100 Main Event (October 22–26) with five starting flights and a $300,000 guaranteed prize pool.

The partnership kicked off with last year’s successful Maryland State Poker Championship and this time, the schedule brings a wider variety of events such as:
- $400 PokerStars Open Mystery Bounty Cup – October 19–21
- $2,200 PokerStars Open High Roller – October 22–23
- $1,100 PokerStars Open Main Event – October 22–26
- $300 PLO Event – October 23
- $300 Women’s Event – October 24
- $400 Sunday Sweat Mystery Bounty – October 26
The Sunday Sweat is new to the PokerStars Open, and looks to combine with the fun of mystery bounty tournament with sports betting twist, giving players an extra bit of sweat to the series closer.

The Maryland debut caps a landmark year for PokerStars’ North American expansion, joining April’s inaugural PokerStars Open Philadelphia and November’s NAPT Las Vegas to make three major live stops in 2025.
