Mixed game tournament poker is heading to The Orleans in Las Vegas in October with the help of poker's most trusted food critic, Allen Kessler.

The Chainsaw Mixed Series of Poker (CMSOP), a Kessler creation, will make its next stop at the off-Strip resort from October 17 to 26. Most events are of the non-hold'em variety, but there are some NLH tournaments on the schedule, so as to offer a little something for everyone.

Kessler, who has over $4.6 million in live tournament cashes, per The Hendon Mob, is a mixed game enthusiast. He started the CMSOP earlier this year and has taken the series to multiple Las Vegas properties, including Planet Hollywood and now about a mile west of the Strip to The Orleans, which boasts one of the top poker rooms in town.

"The Orleans is excited to host The Chainsaw Series of Poker October 17-26, 2025. Being passionate about the advancement of more than just NLH, the series will have a variety of tournaments as well as different price points to appeal to players of all skill levels," Chris Joy, VP and General Manager at The Orleans, said.

The series begins on Oct. 17 with the $400 H.O.R.S.E. Championship, a $12,500 guaranteed event. There are two additional tournaments on the schedule on the first day, both no-limit hold'em contests. Buy-ins during the CMSOP at The Orleans range from $100 to $800, and the structures are all "Chainsaw" approved, with starting stacks up to 50,000 and blind levels between 20 and 40 minutes, depending on the tournament.

Day 2 (Oct. 18) has a $400 8 Game Mix Championship in store with a $12,500 guaranteed prize pool. The $600 T.O.R.S.E. Championship on Oct. 24 is one of the main highlights of the series. Kessler has helped grow this new format of poker, which is similar to H.O.R.S.E., but 2-7 triple draw is played instead of limit hold'em. There are three T.O.R.S.E. events on the schedule.

Play concludes on Oct. 26 with two final tournaments, including the second $200 Sunday Special, a $50,000 guaranteed no-limit hold'em competition.
