Last Time Out in Tallinn
The last stop for the Diamond Poker Series saw the PLO Grand Slam roll into Tallinn, where French businessman Imad Derwiche stole the show. Derwiche went on the run of a lifetime to defeat a world-class 148-entry field and win the €10,300 Championship for €338,370.
He outlasted the likes of Martin Kabrhel, Vivian Saliba, and defending champion Tom-Aksel Bedell on his way to victory, before sealing the title against “Gypsy Baron” in heads-up play.
Despite calling himself a “fish” at the table, Derwiche proved he could swim with the sharks, adding another trophy to his poker résumé.
