The RunGood Poker Series is making its way back to the Lone Star State next month for another exciting series packed with big guarantees.
More specifically, the destination is Dallas and the new state-of-the-art Palace Poker club for the RGPS Golden Expedition, a series running from Aug. 13-23. There are 16 ring events on the schedule and PokerNews will be in the house providing our exclusive live reporting coverage of the Main Event.
Series Highlights
When they say everything is bigger in Texas, the rule applies to poker tournaments, especially when it comes to the RGPS. Right off the bat, poker players will have the choice of two events to compete in on Opening Day at Palace Poker. The first is the $200 RunGood Texas 20K ring event with $10,000 guaranteed.
An even bigger tournament will start in the evening on that same day, and that is Flight A of the $300 PokerNews PowerStack Mystery Bounty, which promises at least $100,000 in the pot. There are six Day 1 starting flights (see detailed schedule below), and Day 2 is set for Aug. 16 for those who bagged a stack.
There's a good mix of poker variants and buy-in levels in the Golden Expedition series, including a $400 Pot-Limit Omaha (Aug. 17) and $400 T.O.R.S.E. (Aug. 19). Not to mention, a $250 Seniors 50+ event on Aug. 17.
The Main Event is the star of the show as always with the RGPS. Play kicks off in the $600 buy-in tournament with Day 1a on Aug. 20 at 11 a.m. Flight B will begin at 5 p.m. that same day, with Days 1c-h the following days before those still standing come back on Aug. 23 to play it down to a winner in this $200,000 guaranteed No-Limit Hold'em tournament.
The series will wrap with the $200 Closer NLH and $130 Last Chance NLH on the final day. PokerNews will be in the building live reporting the Main Event from start to finish. Make sure you stick around to catch all the action from Palace Poker.
