“DAZN is committed to giving fans the very best in sports entertainment,” said Lou Emmerson, SVP of Global Sales at DAZN. “PokerStars shares that passion, and this partnership allows us to deliver even more engaging content and activities that resonate with audiences worldwide.”
Poker and Boxing - A Perfect Match?
Several British boxers have already shown an appetite for poker, including Olympic gold medalist Audley Harrison, former world champion Carl Froch, David Haye and Chris Eubank Jr.
All three have previously been sponsored players, with Harrison signing with Full Tilt Poker as far back as 2010. Harrison has over $350,000 in lifetime earnings, most of which have come in the United States. Carl Froch represented PartyPoker and David Haye represented Grosvenor as part of their 'David vs Goliath' promotion.
Eubank Jr joined 888poker in 2022, telling PokerNews that, while playing poker with the legendary Phil Hellmuth, he made his first Royal Flush.
He later appeared on the famous Hustler Casino Live special celebrity game, witnesseing the craziest cash game poker hand ever between another famous athlete - Neymar - and Hustler fan favorite Alan Keating.
