The United Kingdom's "BrownBrit" is the latest 888poker player to become the $100,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event champion. The $109 buy-in, $100,000 guaranteed two-day event drew in 956 entrants, and "BrownBrit" left all of their opponents in their wake.

Mystery bounties came into play after the 18th level; some of those bounties were rather juicy. Ireland's "Elinof" would ordinarily be disappointed to fall in 62nd place for a $150 score. However, the Irish player eliminated two players when the bounties were active. One weighed in at $1,000 and the other at $3,000. The $4,150 they secured was one of the larger hauls.

Ukraine's "miroha" also pulled a $3,000 bounty from its envelope, but Sweden's "LaserMammoth" captured the $10,000 jackpot bounty and was ultimately this tournament's biggest winner.

Brazil's "Docari" was the first player eliminated from the final table. They sat down at the final table with 12 big blinds, but were sat out from the start and eventually forced all-in with ace-eight in the small blind. Their elimination hand altered the final table's flow because it resulted in "POTCHECKER99" relinquishing their chip leader status.

"POTCHECKER99" couldn't get away from the top pair they'd made with king-deuce after "FunkieMunky" check-raised all-in for 18 big blinds. The all-in player had flopped top two with their king-ten in the big blind. That hand held, "Docari" busted, and "POTCHECKER99" slipped down the pecking order.

The stack of "IxiltxZtKQn" had dwindled to eight big blinds when the action folded to them in the small blind. They looked down at ace-deuce and moved all-in, only for "FunkieMunky" to snap-call with the dominating ace-king. No miracle board for the at-risk player, and they fell in seventh place.

British grinder "UveBeenStakt" led the way at the start of six-handed play but crashed out in sixth place. First, they were unlucky to lose half of their stack with a jack-high flush against the queen-high flush of "dejan96." They then got their last ten big blinds into the middle of the table, holding king-jack of spades from the small blind. "BrownBrit" called in the big blind with ace-jack, and that ace played on a double-paired board.

The start-of-the-day chip leader, "POTCHECKER99," was the next player heading for the exits. Down to a meagre 4.6 big blinds, they called all-in from the button with ace-nine after "BrownBrit" jammed from the cutoff. "BrownBrit" called with queen-jack, turned a Broadway straight, and "POTCHECKER99" was gone.

"FunkyMunky" busted on the very next hand, three-bet-jamming 9.4 big blinds with ace-nine of diamonds in the small blind following a "BrownBrit min-raise. From the big blind, "dejan96" called the shove with king-jack of diamonds, folding out the initial raiser. "FunkyMunky" flopped an ace, while "dejan96 paired their king. A jack on the turn improved "dejan96" to two pair, and a brick on the river reduced the player count once more.

The chip stacks when three-handed play were lopsided. "dejan96" had 61.2 big blinds, "BrownBrit" had a 52.1 big blind stack, and "bowladay" of New Zealand brought up the rear with only 6.3 big blinds. Despite those stacks, it was the chip leader who crashed out in third.

"dejan96" was eliminated after check-calling with ace-four of hearts on all streets of the ten-ace-five-seven-ace board that had two hearts showing. Their final call was a jam from BrownBrit" whose ace-five turned two pair and improved to a boat on the river. "dejan96" was sent to the showers, and the $100,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event was heads-up.

That hand gifted "BrownBrit" a 94.1 big blind to a 25.4 big blind advantage over "Bowladay" at the start of heads-up play. "BrownBrit" further eroded their opponent's stack, but then "Bowladay " doubled up and claimed the lead at one stage.

The final hand saw "BrownBrit" limp with ace-ten of spades, and "bowladay" check with ace-five. A deuce-ace-trey flop saw "bowladay" check-call, leading to a king on the turn, which also gave "BrownBrit" a nut flush draw. "bowladay" check-called an overbet on the turn. An offsuit seven completed the board, and "bowladay" checked again. "BrownBrit" shoved on the river. "bowladay" called off their last 14.7 big blinds only to discover they were out-kicked. The runner-up received $6,240 while "BrownBrit" banked $9,606 and the title of champion.
