Jaime "equalize1" Conrado Takes Down the 888poker RAKELESS Mystery Main
Table Of Contents
Brazilian Jaime Conrado may not be a player you're all too familiar with unless you get your online poker kicks online at 888poker. Here, Conrado plays under the moniker "equalize1", and it is here where he has helped himself to yet another victory.
Conrado was one of 897 entrants in the latest edition of the $100,000 RAKELESS Mystery Main Event, 888poker's flagship weekly tournament. That many entrants left a slight overlay on the guarantee, but it was less than $3,000.
This week's RAKELESS Mystery Main Event reached its eight-handed final table on Day 1 as usual, but there was a not-so-little twist. While both of the $3,000 mystery bounties had been won, and by players who then navigated to the final table, the $10,000 jackpot bounty was still in play.
Having a mystery bounty in play that was worth almost 23% more than the first-place prize money created an interesting dynamic between the final eight players. Additionally, there was no finalist with fewer than 20 big blinds when the final table's action began, so nobody was in a desperate situation.

The first elimination happened early into the final table action. "sapaRd." They started the night with 20 big blinds but had lost a chunk in an early confrontation. They looked down at pocket queens and open-shoved for 10 big blinds, "Jack10.19" three-bet all-in on the button with pocket jacks, only for "QuadFisher" to wake up with kings in the small blind and call all-in. The kings held, more than doubling the stack of "QuadFisher" but the bounty in "sapaRd."'s envelope was only $500.
Sometimes in tournament poker, one hand can have a dramatic effect on the rest of the proceedings. That big hand for "QuadFisher" was such a hand because it gave them enough ammunition to eliminate almost all their opponents, and it ultimately led them to find the $10,000 jackpot bounty heading their way.
"billmaher1" and "RLYZachEfron" crashed out, but neither was hiding the $10,000 mystery bounty payout.
Start of the day chip leader, "belz3bu7," who had more than 90 big blinds at the start of five-handed play, was somehow the next player out the door. They lost a series of hands before a massive clash with "equalize1" sent them to the showers. In a three-bet pot, "equalize1" check-raised all-in on a draw-heavy flop with top-pair top-kicker, and "belzebu7" called off more than 30 big blinds with a king-high flush draw. The turn and river bricked, and the player who was on course for a victory was now collecting fifth-place prize money.
That $10,000 bounty appeared when "Jack10.19" busted in fourth. They got their nano-stack into the middle with six-trey on a jack-ten-jack-six board and were in a world of trouble. "QuadFisher" held ten-trey for a better two pair, while "Alexmegakill" held queen-six. "QuadFish" improved to a full house but, more importantly, collected that five-figure bounty.
Ukraine's "Alexmegakill" crashed out at the hands of "equalize1," which ended an hour-long three-handed battle. "equalize1" went into the heads-up clash against "QuadFisher" with a handful more chips, so it was anyone's tournament to win.
Despite both players having almost 50 big blinds at the start of heads-up, the contest ended within five minutes. All the chips went into the middle of a three-deuce-eight board showing two diamonds, "QuadFisher" holding ace-jack, and "equalize1" the queen-seven of diamonds. A queen on the river sent the pot to "equalize1" and they took down the latest RAKELESS Mystery Main for $9,920, leaving the runner-up to collect one of the biggest prizes this tournament has produced, a cool $18,770.
