2025 has been a breakthrough year for the PokerStars Open (PSO) tour, with packed fields, thrilling finals, and players from all over Europe chasing titles across the new regional circuit.

And now, the debut season will end on the French Riviera, one of the most glamorous ways possible.

A Red-Carpet Finale

The final stop of the year, PokerStars Open Cannes running from December 16–21, lands in the Palace of Festivals and Congresses of Cannes, the same venue that hosts the world-famous film festival.

Cannes offers the perfect stage for PSO’s curtain call, and the first-ever PokerStars League Awards, where the season’s standout performers will be honoured. It’s a fitting finale for what’s been an exciting first year of the PokerStars Open.

Festival Highlights & Schedule

The €1,100 PokerStars Open Main Event headlines the schedule with a €1,000,000 guarantee, running multiple Day 1 flights before the final table crowns the final PSO champion of 2025.

For players looking for variety, there’s also Pot-Limit Omaha, a Women’s Event, and a Last Chance Deep Stack to close out the series on Sunday. Whatever your bankroll or preference, there’s an event to suit every type of player.

Qualify Online and Get Another Shot on the House

If you’ve been thinking about playing, now’s the time. Players who qualify for PokerStars Open Cannes on PokerStars between November 11 and December 11 will receive the value of their buy-in back as a €109 / €100 PSO satellite ticket.

That means you can play your way to Cannes and earn another chance to win your re-entry online, effectively doubling your opportunity to get to the felt on the Riviera.

Why the Satellite System Just Got Better

PokerStars recently revamped its satellite policy to make qualifying fairer, more flexible, and more rewarding. Previously, once you’d won a seat to an event, you couldn’t play further satellites. That’s now changed.

Players can win multiple seat-only tickets, with extra ones converted into Player’s Choice tickets. These can be used to:

  • Re-enter the same event
  • Play another PSO
  • Combine for higher buy-ins, or divide for smaller side events
  • Redeem for online entries like Sunday Million bundles

It’s a major improvement designed to help more players stay in the game longer.
