PokerStars Open Campione

The PokerStars Open is officially back, and once again it’s Casino di Campione that will set the tone for the year ahead as PokerStars kicks off its 2026 live events calendar in Italy from January 23 to February 1.

After a breakout debut in 2025, PokerStars Open Campione returns to the lakeside venue that helped launch the tour in record-setting fashion, bridging the gap between PokerStars’ already-underway New Year Series online and the start of another packed year on the live circuit.

Standout Events on the Schedule

The €1,100 PokerStars Open Main Event runs from January 28 to February 1, carrying a €1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool and serving as the undisputed centrepiece of the festival. With last year’s numbers still fresh in mind, all eyes will be on whether Campione can once again push well beyond the guarantee.

For those looking to play at the top end, the PokerStars Open High Roller takes place on January 27–28 with a €2,200 buy-in, while the one-day PokerStars Open Super High Roller follows on January 31 for €5,000.

Players who fall short in the Main Event won’t be short on options either. The PokerStars Open Second Chance, running January 30 to February 1 with a €550 buy-in, while the PokerStars Open Mystery Bounty Cup from January 31 to February 1 adds a dose of excitement for €400.

Campione Set the Bar in 2025

When the PokerStars Open launched in 2025, expectations were high. They were still blown out of the water.

The 2025 €1,100 Main Event attracted a staggering 2,423 entries, more than doubling its guarantee and building a €2,326,080 prize pool. To put that into perspective, the Main Event field was so big it literally exceeded the population of Campione itself, turning the lakeside town into a poker hotspot for the better part of a week.

After four long days of play, it was Adrian State who emerged from the chaos, banking €363,000 and etching his name into history as the first-ever PokerStars Open Main Event champion.
