Nik Airball Says 'Tourney Players All Suck' Ahead of Cash Game Clash with Foxens
Alex Foxen and Kristen Foxen are two of the most accomplished tournament players in the world. But Nik Airball appears to be confident they are "free money" in cash games.
The self-proclaimed "King of LA" will battle the poker power couple and others in a ring game Thursday and Friday on Hustler Casino Live. He's talking a big game, and the poker world will soon find out if he can back it up.
Alex Foxen, fresh off an MSPT title at Venetian, will compete in a $25/$50/$100 game against Airball on Thursday, and then Kristen Foxen will join the action Friday night for some $100/$200 no-limit hold'em at Hustler Casino in Los Angeles.
Can High-Stakes Poker Player Back Up His Mouth?
The Foxens are the most successful tournament couple in poker history. Alex Foxen has over $54 million in live tournament cashes, is a two-time GPI Player of the Year, and owns two World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets. Kristen Foxen is a five-time GPI Female Player of the Year, a four-time bracelet winner, and has $13.4 million in The Hendon Mob cashes.
Both poker legends are headed for Poker Hall of Fame induction within the next few years. But Airball, who rarely plays tournaments, tweeted out a bit of trash talk to the high-stakes couple ahead of the upcoming cash games on Hustler Casino Live.
"Tourney players all suck, this is free money if I ever seen it!" Nik Airball wrote.
Poker fans will have an opportunity through Polymarket, a prediction markets platform, to win money on Friday's game by accurately predicting who will win more money between Nik Airball and Kristen Foxen.
The Foxens have plenty of cash game experience, but limited appearances on livestreams and televised poker shows. Alex, who is down nearly $3 million lifetime in just 27 hours on livestreams, mostly from Triton Poker, will be making his Hustler Casino Live debut. Kristen appeared on the show in April 2025 and won a small amount. She has $325,000 in profits in livestreamed cash games across 47 hours, according to HighRollPoker.com.
Airball, a polarizing figure in poker, is a regular on livestreamed shows, mostly Hustler Casino Live. He's racked up over $4.2 million in profits across more than 1,300 hours, rarely playing anything but high-stakes games.
Poker vloggers Ethan "Rampage" Yau and Mariano Grandoli are among the other big name players scheduled to compete against Airball and the Foxens.
