Which Investment Did Phil Hellmuth Say Made Him $20 Million?

Phil Hellmuth has millions on his mind. Last September, the Poker Hall of Famer issued a $1 million poker cash game challenge, something he followed up last week by floating the idea of playing in the Hustler Casino Live Million Dollar Game.
And now, Hellmuth has taken to social media to boast about millions he says he made on an apparently lucrative investment into an up-and-coming daily fantasy sports company.
Watching Hellmuth's Wallet
Hellmuth has never been one to stay quiet about his business dealings. He regularly shares on social media about his friendships with business figures like DoorDash founder Stanley Tang and tech investor Chamath Palihapitiya.
His most recent investment flex is over PrizePicks, a North American daily fantasy sports operator that Allwyn International recently purchased a majority stake of for over $1.5 billion. Reuters reported in September 2025 that "under the deal PrizePicks' implied enterprise value could grow to $4.15 billion from $2.5 billion if it reaches certain performance metrics over the next three years."
In a video posted to social media, Hellmuth, standing in a luxury watch store with PrizePicks founder Adam Wexler, claimed that his investment in the company had made him over $20 million.
"I'm with Adam f'ing Wexler, who sold PrizePicks for $4 billion, made me over $20 million dollars," Hellmuth says in the Feb. 9 video.
"I'm a Great Cheerleader"
It pays to be friends with Hellmuth. As a thank-you, the Poker Brat wrote on X that he was purchasing Wexler a Tourbillon with a "minimum $100,000 price tag."
"One thing I do for my founders is I buy them new watches," he says in the video.
Hellmuth wasn't done being a cheerleader (his words) for his friends in the tech and business sectors. In a later post, Hellmuth claimed to be an advisor for 35 companies, the founders of which "work 90 hr weeks."
"When they hit for life changing numbers, they don't need me to buy a watch for them," wrote Hellmuth. "However, this is my way of showing them how much I appreciate them."
Hellmuth added, "I was a witness to their journey: I'm a great cheerleader!"
Hellmuth isn't the only A-list poker player to take an interest in daily online gambling. Last Fall, fellow Poker Hall of Famer Daniel Negreanu joined forces with leading prediction market site Kalshi to give away a $30,000 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise Package, followed by a giveaway for a $10,000 Main Event seat.
