Marrakech Poker Open Returns to Morocco w/ Revamped Festival
Table Of Contents
After more than two decades on the calendar, the Marrakech Poker Open is gearing up for another trip to the tables this spring.
The long-running festival returns to the Casino de Marrakech at the Es Saadi Marrakech Resort from March 24–29, marking the 67th edition of the series. While the setting remains the same, the approach this year is a little different.
Instead of stretching the schedule across a packed week of events, organizers have trimmed things back. The 2026 edition runs for six days and keeps the spotlight firmly on its headline tournaments.
PokerNews will be on site throughout the festival providing live updates from the MPO Main Event, covering the action as players battle it out for the title in Morocco.
Marrakech Poker Open Full Schedule
Everything You Need to Know for the Main Event
The MPO Main Event carries a 15,000 MAD (€1,390) buy-in and kicks off on March 26.
Players begin with 50,000 chips, and 45-minute levels from the start should leave plenty of room to play. There are three starting flights for the event:
- Day 1A — March 26
- Day 1B — March 27
- Day 1C Turbo — March 27
The remaining players return for Day 2 on March 28, with the festival wrapping up the following day when the Main Event champion is crowned on March 29. Players can get in on the cheap thanks to the plethora of satellites on the schedule.
Alongside the Main Event are two bigger buy-in tournaments for players looking to take a shot at something with higher stakes.
The MPO High Roller comes with a 20,000 MAD (€1,850) buy-in, while the MPO Super High Roller raises the bar further at 30,000 MAD (€2,780).
Side Events Across the Week
While the schedule is a little more compact this year, there is still plenty to keep players busy across the six days.
Events like the MPO Opener, MonsterStack, Progressive KO, and Mystery Bounty give players a mix of formats, while the nightly One Night NLH tournaments provide a quicker option for those looking to jump into something that requires less commitment.
