Simon Lofberg

Three more GGPoker players have captured WSOP Super Circuit rings since PokerNews last checked in, which takes the total to 12 of 18 events completed. Simon Lofberg, "Stone Face," and Barak Wisbrod all came out on top in their respective high-stakes events, winning a combined $512,527 between them.

Sweden's Lofberg came away with the largest prize of the recently completed WSOP Super Circuit events. The Swede padded his bankroll with $208,914 after leaving 1,569 opponents in his wake in the $1,050 6-Handed NLH Championship.

The bulk of the $1,570,000 prize pool was awarded at the final table, with the top three finishers each securing a six-figure payout.

Ivan Burmistrov and "matesopski" were the seven-handed final table's first casualties, with Arsenii Karmatckii falling in fifth. Israel's "KnaffeGOAT" bowed out in fourth, locking in that aforementioned $100,000+ prize for the trio of surviving players.

Irish grinder "Skittlez" saw their deep run end in a third-place finish worth $114,968, leaving Brazilian "Feshow" heads-up against Lofberg. No deal was struck despite a $54,000 difference in the payouts. This meant Lofberg received $208,914 after defeating "Feshow," leaving the runner-up to reel in a $154,979 consolation prize.

Wisbrod Comes Out On Top of a Star-Studded PLO Final Table

The $1,500 Monster Stack PLO event attracted 881 entrants who created a $1,255,425 prize pool. Israel's Barak Wisbrod got his hands on $142,112 of that sum, which would have been even larger had he not made a three-handed deal.

High-stakes PLO events tend to have tough fields, and this tournament was no different. The final table housed such luminaries as Anton Suarez, Chris Klodnicki, and Brazilian duo Lucas Baliza and Rui Sousa, the first four finalists to fall by the wayside.

Ukraine's Kostya Holskyi, who sold 80% of his action via the GGPoker staking feature, was eliminated in fourth, leaving "Maxdeposit22," Bernard Larabi, and Wisbrod to fight it out for the title, the lion's share of the seven-figure prize pool, and the all-important WSOP Circuit ring.

The final three paused the tournament to discuss a deal to soften the pay jumps. Negotiations proved fruitful, and they struck a deal before continuing to butt heads.

"Maxdeposit22" was the main beneficiary of the deal, as they crashed out in third, a finish now worth $143,550. Larabi then tripped at the final hurdle and had to make do with a $138,697 runner-up prize, which left Wisbrod to bank $142,112 and a gold WSOPC ring.
