Three weeks ago, Jamie Dwan took down the $50,000 No-Limit High Roller at the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas. Dwan collected his first WSOP bracelet and a career-best $2,276,691. Fast-forward to today, and Dwan has added the £2,000 Goliath Super High Roller, and its £47,200 top prize, to his ever-growing list of poker accomplishments.
The £2,000 Goliath Super High Roller drew 89 players and created a £152,200 prize pool shared by the top 10 finishers. Naim Atakas was the first player to cash, his 10th-place finish coming with £4,250 while simultaneously setting the official final table.

Paul Tait, fresh from a cash in the 2026 WSOP Main Event, bowed out in ninth for £4,600 before Matthew Davenport saw his lifetime live poker tournament earnings edging closer to the $3 million mark with a £5,000 eighth-place finish.
Seventh place and £6,100 went to Tuan Vu, with Irish star Conor O'Driscoll seeing his latest deep run end in a sixth-place finish worth £7,900.
Having finished third in the £1,250 Goliath Main Event for £118,820 a few days ago, Yuzhou Yin was another player riding the crest of a wave. Yin came unstuck in fifth place in this event and netted £10,650, the tournament's first five-figure score.
The final four became three after the untimely demise of Brandon Harris. The man from Essex has only been recording live cashes since mid-2023 but has already amassed more than $500,000 in cashes. This latest impressive result earned Harris £14,450.
Heads-up was reached when Daniel Carney, who banked $40,000 in the 2026 WSOP Main Event earlier this month, fell in third. The £20,550 that Carney collected for this third-place finish in Coventry was the second largest of his career.
Dwan locked horns with Brandon Sheils, who triumphed in the £1,500 Goliath High Roller for £54,130 a couple of days ago. The heads-up duo didn't strike a deal, which meant Sheils had to make do with a still-welcome £31,500 when he fell at the final hurdle, and Dwan reeled in a £47,200 top prize plus another trophy.
Day 1e of the £200 Goliath Sees Another 1,665 Entrants Buy In
The fifth of nine Goliath flights, Day 1e, saw 1,020 unique players re-enter 645 times, for a total attendance of 1,665. Add up all of the entries so far, and you arrive at 7,832!
Five of the Day 1e entrants finished the night with at least one million chips. Conor Berry-Grimsley finished top of the pile. The 1,405,000 chips he bagged and tagged are enough for third-place in the Day 2 chip counts right now.
"M.H." (1,225,000), Jake Rowe (1,170,000), Michael Tucknott (1,025,000), and Mark Scollins (1,020,000) were the other Day 1e chip-millionaires.
