RunGood Heads to St. Louis for Six Days of Ring Action

The RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) is heading back to St. Louis this October, with the RGPS Golden Expedition taking over Hollywood Casino St. Louis from October 6-11.

Twelve ring events are packed into the six-day festival, with buy-ins starting at $200 and the schedule building towards the $800 RunGood Main Event. The headline tournament comes with a $200,000 guarantee, four starting flights and live reporting from PokerNews.

Before the festival gets underway, though, there's a package satellite that could give players considerably more bang for their buck.

$400 Satellite Offers Full RunGood St. Louis Package

Monday, October 5 provides an early opportunity to lock up much more than just a Main Event seat.

The $400 RunGood Package Satellite starts at 6 p.m. and awards a complete festival package to one in every five entrants.

Each package is worth $1,800 and includes:

• $800 RunGood Main Event seat
• $400 PokerNews PowerStack Ring Event seat
• $200 Turbo Event seat
• $400 cash

That means players who qualify can have three tournament entries sorted before the first ring event even gets underway, while the additional $400 cash can help cover some of the costs of the trip.

There are also $100 Ultimate Package Step Satellites on October 2 and October 3, both starting at 6 p.m., offering another route towards the $400 package satellite.

PokerNews PowerStack Among Early Highlights

The ring action officially begins on Tuesday, October 6, with the $300 Seniors Event and $300 Series Opener kicking things off.

Also getting underway that day is the $400 PokerNews PowerStack Ring Event, which carries a $50,000 guarantee. Three starting flights run across October 6-7 before the surviving players return for the final day at noon on October 8.

Other events across the week include a $250 Double Board Bomb Pot PLO, a $300 One-Day NLH and a $300 Tag Team Ring Event.

$200K Guaranteed RunGood Main Event

Attention then turns to the $800 RunGood Main Event, where at least $200,000 will be up for grabs.

There are four starting flights across Friday, October 9 and Saturday, October 10, with cards in the air at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on both days. Players who make it through will return at noon on Sunday for Day 2 and the run to the title.

PokerNews will be at Hollywood Casino St. Louis to provide live reporting from the Main Event, following the action from the opening flights through to the crowning of the champion.

The final day also features a $400 Black Chip Bounty Ring Event and the $250 Closer.
