Brandon Wilson one card away from bubbling the $100,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl XI in Las Vegas on Day 2, but the American high-stakes pro survived and went on to win the prestigious event for $1,125,000.

Wilson defeated fellow American Nick Petrangelo, who was after his second major high roller victory in a matter of weeks after winning the Triton Jeju $150,000 10th Anniversary Special for $2.2 million. Instead, he settled for the runner-up prize of $700,000.

Saturday's final table also included GPI 2026 Money List leader Adrian Mateos (5th - $215,000), high-stakes pro Jeremy Ausmus (4th - $310,000), and Alex Foxen (3rd - $450,000), who held the chip lead throughout the final table before doubling Wilson into the lead.

Foxen Falls at Final Table

The Super High Roller Bowl is one of the biggest events on the PokerGO Tour (PGT) schedule, and this year's edition drew 28 entrants for a prize pool of $2,800,000. It followed the Super High Roller Bowl $100,000 PLO, which saw local pro Sean Rafael defeating red-hot Joao Simao to win $1,150,000.

With six players left and only five places paid, Wilson was at risk of bubbling against Kristen Foxen on Day 2 when he jammed with a flush draw and overcard against Foxen's overpair with one card to come. Wilson hit his overcard on the river to leave Foxen short, according to PokerGO updates, and she would later bubble after a hand that cost the Foxens hundreds of thousands in equity.

Wilson would score another crucial double up on Day 3 when his ace-king out-flopped the pocket tens of Alex Foxen, who later bowed out in third place after leading throughout the last two days of the tournament.

Wilson held a slight chip lead against Petrangelo heading into heads-up play. The final confrontation came when Petrangelo ran a three-street bluff with an underpair as Wilson called down with second pair before backing into a straight.
