Leo Wolpert Wins Onnit Labs' Last Sticker Standing Contest at 2012 WSOP Main Event

Leo Wolpert

Leo Wolpert, an attorney from Fairfax, Virginia, outlasted 49 players to win the Onnit Labs Last Sticker Standing promotion for the 2012 World Series of Poker Main Event.

Onnit Labs offered up $5,000 to the last player standing who wore an Onnit Labs Alpha Brain sticker while playing in the tournament. All qualifying players had to check in with the Onnit booth in the Rio every day to update their progress. The Ladies Event and Event #59 were also part of the Last Sticker Standing promotion.

Entering Day 4 of the Main Event, Wolpert was one of only a few players still donning the Alpha Brain patch. However, when the day ended, he was the only one left standing. Three others managed to reach the money, but Wolpert advanced to Day 4 and locked up the $5,000 reward from Onnit Labs.

Wolpert went on to make Day 6 and eventually exited in 50th place in the Main Event. On his final hand of the tournament, Wolpert moved all in preflop for his last 665,000 and was called by Jamie Robbins on the button. Wolpert had Q7, a couple of live cards versus the 55 of Robbins, but the A106K9 board brought no improvement to Wolpert's hand. He collected $156,293 for his efforts.

Wolpert isn't new to poker success. In 2010, he won the $10,000 Heads-Up Championship at the WSOP for more than $682,000. His impressive finish in the 2012 Main Event moved him past $1 million in career live tournament cashes.

PokerNews' Sarah Grant spoke with Wolpert after he secured his position as the Last Sticker Standing:
