Biography

Andrew Ostapchenko is an American poker player who won his first World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet in 2025. Ostapchenko won the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em 8-Handed event in Las Vegas for $606,849.

With in-the-money finishes dating back to August 2012, according to the Hendon Mob Database, Ostapchenko is a seasoned veteran of the live poker circuit. He first cashed at the WSOP in 2016 and has since added more than 65 cashes and ten final tables in WSOP events. Despite all of those cashes, Ostpchenko had to wait until the 2025 WSOP to capture his first bracelet.

Ostapchenko finished 33rd in the 2017 WSOP Main Event for a then-career-best $214,913. He added another $200,850 to his lifetime winnings with a victory in a $2,200 side event at the 2021 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown. In December 2021, he finished third in a $2,500 WPTDeepStacks Championship event for $110,085.

Five-figure scores became the norm for Ostapchenko with the occasional six-figure prize thrown in for good measure. He hit the big time during the 2025 WSOP. He scooped a career-high $1,299,333 for his runner-up finish in the $25,000 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller. His tenth cash of the summer was a victory in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em, the penultimate event of the festival. His win came with $606,849 in prize money plus his first gold bracelet.
