Boulton first appeared in the live poker arena in March 2015 and mostly frequented low-stakes tournaments for the next three years. A trip to the 2019 WSOP in Las Vegas proved fruitful. During his trip to Vegas, Boulton also finished tenth in a $1,100 No-Limit Hold'em event at the Venetian for $27,063.
Back on home soil, Boulton helped himself to a £40,960 prize in the £1,100 UKIPT London Main Event in April 2022 after finishing fourth. He returned to Las Vegas in June 2022, where he finished fourth in a $1,100 NLHE event at the Venetian for $86,805.
Several five-figure prizes followed before he won the $1,979 Poker Hall of Fame Bounty event at the 2025 WSOP for $311,349 and his first bracelet. Boulton's victory came only a few hours before he was due to board a plane back to the United Kingdom.
