The final five players returned on an unscheduled Day 3 to wrap up Event #92: $1,979 Poker Hall of Fame Bounty No-Limit Hold'em, and it was Joshua Boulton who emerged victorious to claim his first WSOP gold bracelet and a top prize of $311,349.
Boulton navigated a tough final table inside the Horseshoe Event Center and battled heads-up against bracelet winner Rob Wazwaz, in an entertaining duel that saw the chips flying back and forth. The win also pushed the Brit over the $1 million mark in recorded live tournament earnings, capping off a summer to remember with a storybook ending.
The 1,115-entry field generated a $1,931,652 prize pool, and the final stretch saw Boulton outlast a stacked finale that included Jimmy Kebe, David Dibernardi, and Ori Mendi. Just hours after lifting the bracelet, Boulton was already on the way to the airport, heading home with the ultimate souvenir.

Winner’s Reaction
“Absolutely amazing. Yeah, very lucky, very blessed,” Boulton said moments after the win, still soaking it all in.
After a summer filled with close calls and “unlucky” moments, Boulton’s friends were quick to poke fun at their newly minted champ. “Yeah, I will [stop complaining] now, for sure. That’s my unlucky bad beats ended,” he laughed, referring to a running joke with his rail regarding his frequent protests about running bad.

The support from his rail wasn’t just comic relief, it was a huge part of the experience. “Amazing. That’s what it’s all about,” he said. “My good friends are here, I’ve stayed with one of them for six weeks in a house here. So yeah, this is what it’s all about.”
"That’s my unlucky bad beats ended!"
Boulton entered heads-up play at a slight chip disadvantage but quickly evened the stacks before landing a decisive blow. “I was confident. I had 14 mil, he had 19 mil. I brought it back early and then, yeah, I got lucky at the end.”

Unaware of the personal milestone he had just reached, Boulton was surprised to hear he had crossed $1 million in live earnings. “Okay, I didn’t know that,” he said. “No, just play. Enjoy it. And yeah… win some more money, I hope. More bracelets.” he said when asked if he had any poker aspirations for the future.
But there wouldn’t be much time to celebrate in Las Vegas. “I’m flying home tonight,” he revealed. “Yeah, I’m good to fly home at 9 o’clock tonight, so, yeah. It’s a good going-home present.”
Boulton's Run to the Bracelet
The day began with five players, but that was soon down to four after Dibernardi hit the rail in the opening orbit. On a board with two clubs and holding ace-nine of clubs, Dibernardi shoved the turn and Wazwaz dropped in the call with top pair holding king-queen. The river bricked off, and Dibernardi was out in fifth.
Boulton then collected the last of Kebe's chips after the latter's stack was left wounded in a hand against Mendi. The eventual champion was all-in and behind with ace-nine against the ace-jack of Wazwaz, but binked a nine on the flop to remain in contention.
Ori Mendi
Mendi was the next victim of Boulton as the two got the chips in preflop in a coinflip situation. Boulton held pocket nines and held against the ace-king of Mendi, setting up the heads-up duel.
Boulton stormed to an early lead and held around a five-to-one advantage at one point, but Wazwaz battled back to even out the stacks. After chipping away at Wazwaz a bit more, Boulton had his opponent all-in and at risk, but he was behind again.
Rob Wazwaz
Wazwaz held ace-jack and Boulton had ace-ten, but a ten on the flop sealed the deal for Boulton, which meant Wazwaz had to settle for second.
