Ciprian Paunescu Eliminates a Player

Level 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

The very same player who was crippled at the hands of Martyn Fuller, when their two pair ran into their opponent's straight, was all in for their remaining 15,000 chips holding {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts} against the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} of Ciprian Paunecsu.

There was help for them on a flop of {10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{j-Spades} but the turn was the {k-Spades} and the river the {10-Hearts}.

Andrey Dimitrov Eliminated by Krzysztof Pregowski

Level 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

Andrey Dimitrov raised to 1,600 from under the gun and was three-bet to 4,200 from Krzysztof Pregowski from the next position. A player in the hijack cold-called before Dimitrov called as well.

On the flop of {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{5-Spades} Dimitrov checked and Pregowski slid forward a large stack of blue 5,000-value chips effectively putting both of his opponents all in. The middle position player folded and Dimitrov called.

"I was always going to play it this way," said Pregowski showing {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}. Dimitrov held {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and there was no help for him as the board ran out {k-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

Slow Play Pays Off for Craig Newton

Level 5 : 200/400, 75 ante

With the blinds 200/400, Craig Newton had a 1,000 chip out in the big blind. This potentially could have led to some confusion as the player in early position opened to 2,525. It folded around to Newton in the big blind who leant forward to see how many chips his opponent had behind. The answer was around 15,000. Newton called.

The flop of {j-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades} was checked by both players. The turn was the {j-Hearts} and Newton check-called a bet of 4,000. Both players checked the {6-Diamonds} on the river and Newton showed {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}.

"If you re-raised me pre-flop," said his opponent, "I would have folded." Newton nodded perhaps content with the turn bet he got from his opponent.

Big Threeway Pot for Leo Van De Geer

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

Marius Hutupasu limped from under the gun. Three other players called and the big blind checked.

The flop was {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Hutupasu bet 1,100. There were two callers: Vladimir Marchevici and Leo Van De Geer.

The turn was the {8-Hearts} and Hutupasu bet again for 2,200, and the two other players called and saw the {3-Clubs} on the river.

This time it checked to Van De Geer who bet 6,000. Hutupasu folded and Marchevici called. Van De Geer showed {3-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and took down the pot with a straight.

"I folded Ace-King," said Hutupasu.

"Why didn't you raise preflop?" asked Van De Geer, "You made it cheap for me!"
