Breuheim and Petkov Double

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Over on table 13, Stian Bruheim and Atanas Petkov found doubles. The former flopped top pair with {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Juan Bastida Perez had pocket sevens on {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} when the stacks got in. The {2-Spades} turn and {A-Clubs} river changed nothing and Bruheim doubled.

And then, in the last hand of the level, Petkov doubled for 26,700 with {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts} against Javier Martinez Perez' {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} thanks to a board of {K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

Updated Counts

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Jamali Razavi and Jaako Wilska have been spotted in the turbo Heat 1d and are thus eliminated from 1c, while Robert Cazali was also on the way out. Juan Font Espina won a limped pot with {A-Spades}{2-Spades} versus {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} after betting a queen-high flop for 2,000 and spiking a deuce on the turn, his opponent then checked a blank on the river.

While Font Espina's stack is impressive, Lauri Saaskilahti has him easily covered and appears to be the chip leader near the end of level eight.

Monino Busts Mc Hugh and Hauser

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Within two hands, the stack of Sandro Hauser has been reduced to zero. He first faced a raise to 2,500 by David Monino and called before Ross Mc Hugh shoved for 16,300. Monino reshoved for 19,500 and Hauser called after mentioning pot odds.

Ross Mc Hugh: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
David Monino: {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Sandro Hauser: {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The board came {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Mc Hugh left with some swear words in English. Only two minutes later, Hauser's remaining chips vanished also, and it was again Monino who claimed them after spiking top pair with {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}.

An Update on the Qualifiers

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Miguel Angel Rodriguez de la Rubia sits just under starting stack while Aleksandr Rodionov just shoved on a flop of {J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. His sole opponent had bet 8,000 and the Russian was all in for little more, 17,000 in total, but that proved to be too much for the call.

Oualgasi Back on Track

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Younesse Oualgasi defended out of the blinds and check-shoved a flop of {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} with the {8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}. Albert Gorman looked him up for 18,800 with {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and the {J-Hearts} turn and {4-Spades} river were both blanks.

Soon after, Sandro Hauser got his stack in with {A-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Telmo Dominquez Gonzalez snap-called with {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}. The board came {Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and the Swiss was sent to the rail.

Vallespi fernandez Dominates Table One

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Andre Filipe Quelhas recovered from a big setback earlier on when his straight got flushed on the river, and he grinded up the stack to twice the average. Over on table one, Antonio Oscar Vallespi Fernandez is the man to beat right now with almost six times the starting stack, though, while Luka Cencelj has been eliminated from the same table.

Bagazgoitia Ezpeleta Spikes Two Outer

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

At the very end of the previous level, Mikel Bagazgoitia Ezpeleta opened to 2,000 from under the gun and picked up no fewer than three callers. The button then shoved for 9,200 and it folded back to the Basque, who moved all in for 11,200 himself. All callers got out of the way and the button showed {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}.

Bagazgoitia Ezpeleta had two outs with {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}, and found one of them on the board {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{A-Clubs}.

The biggest stack at the table appears to be Ladislao Dalfo Battle.
