Stephens Busts One

Level 6 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Sally Stephens had dropped to around 55,000 when she opened and then saw a player shove for his last 26,700 from one seat over. Stephens called and flipped over the {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}, while the button held {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} only.

The board ran out {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and the kicker played to ship the pot to Stephens.

MacIntyre Booming in First Hand

Level 6 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Fraser MacIntyre just sat down and more than doubled up in the first hand thanks to three-way action against fellow Scotsman Gordon Huntly and Gabriel Pazos de la Torre.

On the {A-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts} turn, MacIntyre bet 12,100 and both opponents called. The {4-Spades} river completed the board and MacIntyre bet 35,600. Pazos de la Torre just called after some consideration with another 5,000 behind in the hijack, and Huntly did so from the button with a sigh as well.

MacIntyre turned over {A-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for a big blind special with a full house and Huntly mucked {8-Spades}{5-Spades}. "I had that beat" Pazos de la Torre added and showed {9-Spades}{6-Spades} for a meaningless flush. The Spaniard lost his remaining chips one hand later to Huntly.

Panovec and Net Eliminated

Level 6 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

At almost the same time, Michael Panovec and Rembert Net have been eliminated. The former first tripled up with {8-Clubs}{2-Spades} and then faced a raise to 5,000 by Hubert Stachowski. Panovec shoved for 15,500 and Enrico Camosci called from one seat over, as did Stachowski.

On the {J-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop, Camosci bet and Stachowski folded.

Enrico Camosci: {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Michael Panovec: {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}

The {3-Spades} turn gave the Austrian a sweat, but the {K-Clubs} river was a blank.

Hernandez Ruiz Busts in Three-Way All In

Level 6 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Samuel Hernandez Ruiz
Samuel Hernandez Ruiz

Samuel Hernandez Ruiz moved all in for his last 9,000 and was called by Kimmo Kurko in the cutoff and Simen Gulbrandsen on the button. Kim Sanchez then moved all in for 51,100 in the small blind and Kurko folded. Gulbrandsen eventually called and the cards were turned over.

Kim Sanchez: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Simen Gulbrandsen: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}
Samuel Hernandez Ruiz: {Q-Clubs}{8-Spades}

The {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop improved Gulbrandsen, while the {J-Diamonds} was a sweat. Sanchez got there thanks to the {Q-Hearts} river and more than doubled, while Hernandez Ruiz was eliminated.

Fernandez Bernal at the Top

Level 6 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Peter Jaksland check-called a bet worth 6,000 on the {J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop and checked again the {9-Spades} turn. Kurko now bet 15,000 from the button and Jaksland folded. While Kurko moved up to almost the starting stack again, Jaksland has that well covered.

Sergio Fernandez Bernal appears to be the current chip leader.

Kellner's Kings get Cracked

Level 5 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Arturo Espuny Juarez and Kelly Kellner got into a raising war and the former ended up all in and at risk for 50,000 with the {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}. Kelly Kellner had picked up his magical hand in {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} once again, only to see the board run out {10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{J-Spades}.

At almost the same time, Alberto Flores Trujillo lost the remainder of his short stack and took a different fate, joining the rail half way through Day 1.

Zajmovic Busts Kassouf

Level 5 : 600/1,200, 100 ante
William Kassouf
William Kassouf

Michael Mizrachi and William Kassouf have been eliminated, and the latter was sent to the rail in an epic hand against Ema Zajmovic.

Zajmovic opened and called the three-bet to 8,000 by Kassouf from one seat over. On the {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop, Zajmovic checked and Kassouf bet 15,000, then started his usual speech play by also mentioning that "he had top pair and a redraw." Zajmovic wasn't taking the bait, but engaged in the table chat as well, then called with the words "I am curious and I have trust issues, that's a bad combination."

The {J-Hearts} fell on the turn and Zajmovic checked. Kassouf moved all in for 61,200 and Zajmovic snap-called.

Ema Zajmovic: {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
William Kassouf: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

It was Zajmovic after all who had the redraw and found the perfect turn card, leaving Kassouf with a draw to a split pot only. The {Q-Hearts} on the river was a blank and Kassouf headed to the rail.

Joentausta Leaves Flores Trujillo Short

Level 5 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

On the {9-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop, Alberto Flores Trujillo checked from under the gun and Aku Joentausta bet 5,500, which the Spaniard called. The {3-Diamonds} turn saw another check by Flores Trujillo and a bet worth 11,000 by Joentausta, which led to yet another call.

After the {K-Diamonds} river, Flores Trujillo check-called the third barrel worth 30,000 and quickly mucked when Joentausta flashed {K-Hearts}{K-Spades} for a full house.

Vallve Arias Missing

Level 5 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Carlos Vallve Arias is no longer in his seat and Kelly Kellner confirmed that he received the remaining stack of the Spaniard. According to Kellner, Vallve Arias raised to 8,000 and called a reraise to 24,000 before the {7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop. Vallve Arias then got it in with {A-Spades}{5-Spades} for middle pair and the flush draw, but Kellner had pocket kings and made a full house thanks to running sevens on the board.
