Luis Lima Doubles Back Through Patricia Alencar

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

On a board of {K-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} with roughly 300,000 in the middle, Luis Lima checked over to Patricia Alencar. She put out a bet of 150,000. Lima then decided to check-raise all in. Alencar thought for a while, then announced a call.

Lima turned up {J-Clubs}{10-Spades} for a turned straight and Alencar frustratedly slammed over her {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} for a turned two pair. The river was the blank {3-Hearts} and that allowed Lima to double through Alencar to over 1,000,000 chips.

Anderson Vaz Eliminated in 16th Place ($9,600 BRL)

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

We missed the preflop action but Anderson Vaz was all in and at risk against Mauro Tabarin.

Tabarin: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Vaz: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

The flop put Vaz in a deep hole when it came {6-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{K-Hearts} and he couldn't recover on the {6-Hearts} turn or the {5-Spades} river. With that he was eliminated from the tournament as Tabarin absorbed the rest of his stack.

Sandro Santos

Patricia Alencar opened up the action with a raise to 66,000 from the lojack seat. She found calls from Sandro Santos in the small blind and Valcir Mello in the big blind.

The flop came down {6-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Santos immediately moved all in for 618,000 total, almost double the size of the pot. Mello thought for a while then folded. Alencar counted out the chips to call, then put them in.

Alencar: {8-Spades}{7-Spades}
Santos: {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

The turn sealed the deal when the {3-Spades} came, giving Alencar the unbeateable flush. The river was the {5-Diamonds} but it didn't change anything and Santos was eliminated in one of the biggest pots of the tournament so far while Alencar moved into the position of chip leader.

Tabarin Finds a Double Through Irazzabal

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

A preflop confrontation between Mauro Tabarin and Osvaldo Ruben Irrazabal left Tabarin all in and at risk, but holding the best of it going to the flop.

Tabarin: {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Irrazabal: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} keeping Tabarin in the lead the whole way and he doubled back to over 1 million chips while Irrazabal slid to right under 1,500,000.

Mario Borges Eliminated in 18th Place ($8,400 BRL)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Mario Borges

Action folded around to Mario Borges who moved all in on the button for 121,000 total. Valcir Mello called the shove from the big blind.

Mello: {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Borges: {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

The flop came down {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{5-Hearts} keeping Borges in the lead, but the {2-Hearts} came on the turn giving Mello even more outs to a flush. He hit one of those outs on the {A-Hearts} river, making his flush and that would do it for Borges, who was eliminated from the tournament in 18th place.

Costa Flushes Fernandez

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Emanuel Fernandez opened under the gun with a raise to 65,000. He was called by Luiz Costa in the big blind.

The flop came down {J-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and both players checked to see the {9-Clubs} on the turn. Costa checked, then called a bet of 76,000 from Fernandez.

The river was the {2-Clubs} and Costa led out with a bet of 205,000. Fernandez thought for a while, then called, but was dismayed to see Costa had a flush with {K-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. Costa was awarded the pot and was able to bolster his chip stack.
