Kalthof Gets Some Back; Sapiano Out Again

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Craig Sweden has started well into Day 1d and quickly almost doubled his stack. Next to him sits Antonis "Tony" Poulengeris, who bet the {6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop for 1,200 and was called by Jeroen Kalthof. The {Q-Hearts} turn and the {6-Hearts} river, both players checked and Poulengeris announced ace-high, Sweden grabbed his cards and flashed the {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}. Kalthof had that beat with {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and gained back some chips he had lost previously.

One table over, Albert Sapiano has gone missing once again and Ramlal Basdeo has also lost quite some of his stack, the new table captains are David Nevill and Ion Albu.

Amos Doubles; Ringe Leads the Pack

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Gerald Ringe in the High Roller
Gerald Ringe in the High Roller

The current chip leader towards the end of the third level of the day appears to be Gerald Ringe, who sent Ian Hunter to the rail.

Just prior to that, Steven Amos was also at risk at the very same table and shoved for 9,500 on a {J-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop. Elias Christodoulou reluctantly called with {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and Amos held the {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}. The board completed with the {5-Spades} turn and the {3-Diamonds} river and Amos remained in contention.

Gardner Takes a Hit

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

The turn showed {K-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades}{J-Spades} and Al-Farouq Obe check-raised out of the small blind. Anthony Gardner had bet 1,100 and called Obe's raise to 3,100. On the {5-Hearts} river, Obe made it 4,000 to go and Gardner called, but mucked when he was shown the {J-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for two pair.

Fisher Wins a Nice Pot

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Joining the action on the {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop, John Hesp checked in the small blind and the player from under the gun bet 2,500. Gary Fisher on the button called and Hesp sent his cards into the muck.

On the {2-Hearts} turn, the opponent of Fisher bet 2,500 once more and picked up a call before checking the {J-Spades} river. Fisher made it 4,800 to go and received a reluctant call, turning over {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts} for a rivered set. He was shown the {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} by the player from under the gun.

"I was aware of the turn card," Fisher said to another player at the table when raking in the chips.

Ringe Already at Risk

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Gerald Ringe, who final-tabled the High Roller a few days ago here at the Aspers Casino, was just all in and doubled. Ringe had lost chips early on but his {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} got him back above starting stack when he flopped top pair on {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{X-}{Q-Spades}.

Albert Sapiano has also calmed down and moved up a few chips, along with Ramlal Basdeo on the same table.

Bhaiya Buts Again

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

"Seat open on table 11," the dealer announced and Imran Bhaiya walked away from his seat. He was already on his second bullet for the day and had jammed with {Q-}{9-} for top pair and no kicker on a {Q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{J-} turn only for Mark Gardner to snap-call with {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for the flopped flush.

It remains to be seen whether or not Bhaiya will give it another shot right away or take a short break.
