Anselmi Jams Into D'Amico

Level 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

On the {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop, Federico Anselmi made it 150,000 to go from under the gun and Marco D'Amico called from middle position to see the {10-Diamonds} on the turn. Anselmi pushed for around 275,000 and that forced a fold.

Another Pre Bubble Double

Level 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Down to just 65,000 and in the big blind, Tobias Schaaf was all-in for the remaining 65,000 and Daniyar Aubakirov looked him up from early position.

Tobias Schaaf: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Daniyar Aubakirov: {k-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

The {a-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{4-Spades} board kept Schaaf's hopes of a cash alive and he has a full orbit to relax now.

Carballo Campana Doubles Through Riera

Level 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Manuel Carballo Campana
Manuel Carballo Campana

Miguel Riera opened the action with a raise in the cutoff and he was called by Alessandro Campedelli on the button. Manuel Carballo Campana jammed the big blind for 210,000 and Riera went over the top to force a fold.

Manuel Carballo Campana: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Miguel Riera: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop immediately gave Carballo Campana top set and the {7-Diamonds} turn locked up his double, the {q-Spades} river became a mere formality.

That'll be another two minutes off the clock then, dealers please next hand!

Oualgasi Busts With Aces

Level 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Carlos Marina
Carlos Marina

The money bubble is imminent as just 128 players remain after the elimination of Younesse Oualgasi. It came in cruel fashion when he got it in for around 350,000 against Carlos Marina, before the flop.

Younesse Oualgasi: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Carlos Marina: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

The {j-Spades}{7-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} board gave Marina a set and a very upset Oualgasi stormed off with an "madre mia."

Some Pre Bubble Stacks

Level 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Level: 21

Blinds: 10,000/25,000

Ante: 25,000

Last Break of the Night

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

With the all-in showdowns pouring every other minute, the field has been cut into half over the last session and that means just 138 players are heading into the final 20-minute break of the night. The additional few minutes added the clock are for the chip race of the T-1,000 denominations as they are no longer needed for the remainder of the event.

D'Amico Scores Double Knockout

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Marco D'Amico has just become the new chip leader after he scored a spectacular double knockout. A Spanish player by the name of Luis, the family name unfortunately escapes us, was all-in for around 350,000 with the {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and Zhivko Todorov got his stack in with the {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}.

D'Amico looked them both up with {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and the board of {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{5-Spades} left the rest of the table gasping for air.

Double for Marmolejo

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Carlos Marmolejo was in the blinds and eventually three-bet jammed for the last 91,000 to pick up a call by the initial raiser with the {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. Marmolejo was well ahead with the {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} and had little to fear on a {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds} board.

Ana Marquez lost a big pot and headed to the rail soon after, Fran Lopez and Oystein Nordli also ran out of chips.
