Algarra Doubles Through D'Amico

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

The big wall of chips of Marco D'Amico took a minor hit when David Algarra scored the double. D'Amico's cards were already in the muck as Algarra had the nuts with {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} on a board of {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.

A Bustout and a Double Up

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

The action on the table of Meir Avigal hasn't slowed down after the previous bustout as another short stack busted right away. He pushed from the small blind into the big blind of Gonzalo Huerta and his {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} was no good against the {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} of Huerta.

The board came {a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades} and king-queen was enough to scoop the pot.

Soon after, Manuel Carballo Campana and Miguel Riera created a pot of 250,000 to the {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} turn on which Carballo Campana bet 103,000. Riera pushed for 432,000 and picked up a reluctant call.

Miguel Riera: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Manuel Carballo Campana: {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}

Nothing changed with the {10-Spades} river and Carballo's stack was cut into half.

Hsissen Cracks Aces To Become a Chip Millionaire

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Mehdi Hsissen
Mehdi Hsissen

On a three-way flop of {j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, the action was on Claudio Di Giacomo and he bet 85,000. Victor Ruiz Melgar moved all-in for 298,000 and Mehdi Hsissen went all-in over the top, which forced out Di Giacomo.

Victor Ruiz Melgar: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Mehdi Hsissen: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Hsissen had plenty of outs with his gutshot and flush draw, and he immediately spiked help on the {4-Hearts} turn, the {3-Clubs} river was a blank and that spelled the end for Ruiz.

"Why didn't you call?" Hsissen inquired from Di Giacomo, who mentioned in table chat he had ace-jack.

Louis Eliminated by Avigal

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Leon Louis
Leon Louis

For 2019 888poker LIVE London runner-up Leon Louis, there won't be a repeat final table appearance for now as the Brit has just been eliminated. Louis pushed for 208,000 form middle position and he was isolated by Meir Avigal in the hijack, who forced out all other players behind.

Leon Louis: {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Meir Avigal: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

"I just want a pair on the flop," Louis asked but the {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop was the exact opposite. However, he picked up the best possible turn card with the {k-Hearts} only to see the {3-Diamonds} river brick off.

Nordli Wins a Flip

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Fernando Pons is the next chip millionaire as the field is slowly but surely shrinking with only 189 players still in contention.

The average has reached half a million in chips and Oystein Nordli just kept his hopes alive when he pushed for the last few big blinds with the {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}. He was called by the button with the {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and spiked an ace on the turn and a king on the river of a {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{5-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} board.
