Mitford Wins a Race

Level 7 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Terence Mitford was still stacking chips from the previous hand ("queens against eights. Eight on the river," tablemate Michael Rosaman said) when he called a pre-flop shove of 7,500 from big blind Keir Wallace.

Keir Wallace: 55
Terence Mitford: AQ

The 779 flop kept Wallace in the lead, but Mitford spiked the A on the turn to make two pair. The river came the 4 and Mitford stacked up another pot.

Cheng Lays a Trap For Taylor

Level 7 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Four players went to the turn with the board showing 69Q2 when Christy Taylor bet 2,500 under the gun.

Action folded to Shuaida Cheng in the small blind who called to see the K river. Cheng checked again and Taylor this time checked back.

Cheng then turned over AJ, revealing he had the nut flush on the turn as Taylor got off cheap.

Basford on Right Side of a Classic Flip

Level 7 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Alex Basford was already one of the biggest stacks in the room coming back from dinner and just grew his stack even more on one of the first hands.

Roni Tal limped in from the small blind before Basford raised to 2,600. Tal then three-bet to 9,600, Basford moved all in, and Tal called off his last 35,000.

Roni Tal: AK
Alex Basford: QQ

It was a classic flip, and Basford's queens would stay in front on the 1065510 board to send Tal to the rail.

Keith Littlewood raised to 1,100 in early position and received two callers before Paul Vas Nunes three-bet to 6,200 in the small blind. Littlewood then shoved all in for 38,000 and the rest of the table folded to Vas Nunes, who tanked for a moment before calling for 32,000.

Paul Vas Nunes: AQ
Keith Littlewood: KQ

Cooper Chases Wilson Out of the Pot

Level 6 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Three-handed on a flop of 567, Carl Spicer bet 1,500 from the big blind and Chase Wilson called under the gun, as did Christopher Cooper in the cutoff.

The turn came the A and Spicer checked this time. Wilson then bet 5,000 and Cooper came back with an all-in shove for 30,000.

Spicer quickly got out of the way, but Wilson leaned back in his seat and stared across at Cooper for a minute before also mucking.

Farrell Fires the Turn, Then Shows

Level 6 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Niall Farrell bet 2,500 from early position on a flop of KJA and was called by Mantas Buivydas in middle position and an opponent in the hijack, while Ludovic Geilich folded his big blind.

The turn came the 2 and Farrel fired another 8,000. Buivydas tanked for a minute before mucking. The hijack also spent a few moments in the tank but also slid his cards back to the dealer.

"King-jack," Geilich asked Farrell, who showed the 9 as he took the pot.
