Yao Fires Three Streets

Level 19 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Bixi Yao raised to 18,000 in the cutoff and Jonathan Mccann defended from the big blind. The flop came KKJ and Mccann check-called a bet of 10,000 from Yao.

The turn was the 3 and Mccann checked again. Yao sized up a bet of 35,000 and Mccann still called. The 8 completed the board and Mccann checked for the third time. Yao counted out a bet of 45,000, the majority of her stack. Mccann went deep into the tank, using all four of his time banks, before finally folding.

Mamut Triples Up

Nikolai Mamut was the shortest stack in the room with just 12,500 chips and he pushed all in from under the gun. Francis Obadun called on his left and Young Seo Yoon came along from the small blind.

The flop came 765 and the action checked through to the 8 on the turn and the A on the river. Mamut turned over Q5 for a pair of fives which turned out to be the best hand against K10 and J2.

Williams Makes Quads

Chris Williams raised it up to 13,000 in the hijack and Angelos Nastosmegas just called in the small blind. The flop came AK10 and Nastosmegas check-called a bet of 17,000 from Williams.

The turn brought the Q and both players checked to the 10 on the river. Nastosmegas led out with a bet of 35,000 on the river and Williams raised to 145,000. Nastosmegas used two of his time banks before flicking in a call. Williams turned over 1010 for quad tens while Nastosmegas could only muster AK for two pair.

Phillips and Dasilva Stay Alive

Two hands later, Chris Dasilva got the last of his 131,000 chips in the middle with AK and was called by Giorgos Onisiforou with AQ. Dasilva spiked a king on the 1093K2 runout and that was enough to stay alive on the bubble.

On the feature table, Eliran Argelazi opened to 10,000 and "PO" shoved all in for 40,000 on his left. The action folded back to Argelazi who quickly called as the big stack.

The flop came A42 and "PO" was still in the lead with his pair of nines. However, the 10 on the turn gave Argelazi a pair of tens and "PO" was unable to catch up on the 8 river.

Next door, Wanja Postel got the last of his chips in the middle with pocket kings on the turn with the board reading 8327. He was called by Raymond Caabay who turned over J3. The river was the Q and Caabay made a flush to eliminate Postel.
