Perfect Flop for Onisiforou

Timothy Chung opened to 11,000 in middle position and was called by Giorgos Onisiforou on the button and Fadhil Farag in the small blind. The flop came Q108 which stirred on plenty of action.

Chung continued with a bet of 10,000 and Onisiforou just called. Farag check-raised to 45,000 which got Chung to send his cards to the muck. Onisiforou responded by shoving all in for 144,000 and Farag asked for a count before calling.

Hong Pham took over the chip lead just prior to the dinner break and has been on a tear ever since. She raised to 13,000 from the hijack and Victor Ilyukhin called from the small blind.

The flop came 1063 and Ilyukhin check-called a bet of 15,500 from Pham. The turn brought the K and Ilyukhin checked again. Pham put together a bet of 40,000 and Ilyukhin stuck around for the A on the river.

Ilyukhin checked for the third time and Pham opted to check it back. Ilyukhin turned over A8 but Pham held A9 for a better kicker to scoop another pot.

Cecoltan Escapes Disaster After Slow Playing

Ross Posner opened to 9,000 in early position and Sergiu Cecoltan just called a couple of seats to his left. They went heads-up to a flop of A83 and Posner continued with a bet of 15,000. Cecoltan called and the J rolled off on the turn.

Posner slid out another bet of 25,000 and Cecoltan stuck around for the 4 on the river. Posner announced all in and Cecoltan instantly called off his last 67,500. Posner showed 64 for a missed flush draw and Cecoltan held AA for a set of aces.
